I don't need to look it up to know that you are correct and they did have pandemic preparedness plans in place. Bush's was specifically a flu pandemic plan. Obama's plan was a pandemic response strategy and was developed during the swine flu outbreak.

Your comment implies that the op hates the doctor because he spoke negatively of Trump, in that he predicted a catastrophic event that prior presidents planned for.
Likewise my comment addresses the natural ebb and flow of the economic cycle. But because I didn’t speak positively of the President your feelings were hurt. And because you’re an emotional man your feelings were also hurt and you requested MALE members submit photographs of their genitalia to me, a well know heterosexual in these parts, to verify the size and attractiveness of said genitals.
Now because I value my membership to this board I did offer fair and constructive criticism of the unnamed members private area after studying the pictures extensively looking over every detail for any flaw.
I really don’t have time to devote to this type of nonsense Abram. So please conduct your appropriately moving forward.

I don't know about you, but I don't generally trust or value what known liars tell me.
It's never ok to lie to the public if you're in a position where people are putting their trust in what you say/do.

Fauci can change his mind or change his opinions based on the newest science and data but that’s not what he did here.
He gave specific reasons why masks weren’t needed. That they don’t provide the protection that people think they do, that masks would cause healthy people to touch their faces more often (and this implied that could cause them to become infected) and that masks were needed for health care workers and the ill (even though he said the mask MIGHT block a droplet).
It doesn’t really matter because we don’t hold people accountable for what they say or do, we only pick the key ideas we support.

No I don't think it is odd at all. The NIH (National Institute of Health) funded a project at the Wuhan lab. Dr. Fauci is the director of the NIAID (National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases's). Do you think scientific endeavors such as the study of virology is individualistic? Without the sharing of knowledge and mutual support, science would still be in the dark ages.

I am suffering. I found out the Lions wanted Matt Campbell as a head coach and he turned down $68 million. So instead of finding the next best coach the Leo’s grabbed the next best Campbell, Dan. The former 3rd string tight end.
Then I found out they’re converting our starting defensive ends to linebackers. One of the former d end’s played for the Patriots, and the greatest defensive genius in football who kept this player as a D end, never a linebacker.
I seriously do not know how much more of this I can take.
