Memorial Day is not for thanking those that served. That would be Veteran's Day. Today is for honoring the military personnel who died in the performance of their duties.

Yes, thanks. Some volunteered, some were drafted. Our nation is grateful to all who died for all of us. Not long ago I visited one of mine in Jefferson Barracks St. Louis. Struggle to find him but I did thanks to the good people in the office there and the records on the outside wall.
