This Friday and Saturday is a new contest, the Texas Pro in Irving:

The gossiped favored to win is Steve Kucklo although it may be a real contest between him and last week’s Tampa Pro winner Iain Valliere. A lot of eyes will also be on newcomer Martin Fitzwater in his pro debut.

Most of that is going to the open bodybuilding. The other divisions aren't getting jack. Noticeably absent from the lineup is women's bodybuilding.
And there's no pro wellness division, either. Why not pay the gals with booty, booty, booty, booty rockin' everywhere?

Contest will be streamed, $20 per day:

Isn’t Women’s Physique the category name now for women’s bodybuilding? (And you have Wellness in the amateur side here.)

No. Dana Linn Bailey was the first Physique Olympia winner. But she's not seen as Ms. Olympia.

I know what you're both saying, and sure, the DLB thing is accurate. But I think in this game there is always 'mission creep' and as a schmoe with interest in this area, I'm seeing physique competitors that would not have looked out of place standing next to the Ms Olympia line-ups of the early '90s
And the bikini girls are creeping up too...
Off to Google some shots to show what I mean! :D

This is his for the taking.

Kucklo, in second place, got $4000 (my source must be incomplete).

How does Valliere win anything with no calves

These must be new promoters; so the price money is low, the same amount as other pro shows from 20-25 years ago.

Dexter Jackson and Ronnie Coleman won lots of shows with "no calves".

Iain definitely tightened up come the night show. Thought it was Kuclo’s show at first during prejudging pics.

Hmm... Was he friends with Meadows at all..? I'm just wondering what made him 'end the war and retreat from the battlefield/remove his warrior armour' ;D

He's won lots though. Never seen anyone get as many gift placings as him.
-
I remember him now. His brother-in-law is The Classic Physique Olympia winner, Chris Bumstead.

how he places as high as he does is pure nonsense he looks like shit.

Steve is a total beast and I thought he had this.
The guy on the far left Phil Clahar is 47 and had the best condition.😲

Exactly...he`s tight with Steve Weibrenner or whatever his name is.....Bev Francis husband.
-
Sadly enough, calves no longer matter to these so called "judges".
Every Olympia winner up to Haney had good calves
Haneys werent great and he always looked knock kneed from the back
Most Olympia winners had good calves apart from Dexter and Ronnie
Flexs were all oil and esicline
Dexter used esicline as well
Poor calves is the norm theses days
