Not just a woman kicking everyone's ass. A woman of colour!

And an overweight, 50+ year old woman of color to boot.

In other news President Kennedy has been assassinated. ::)
Try to keep current. Denzel took on the role in a 2014 film and the sequel was in 2018. The TV reboot premiered in January. If you are this late keeping up is it any wonder you have been replaced? :D

Nobody had any issue with Denzel being in the Equalizer movies. I liked those films.
It was horrible casting to put Queen Latifah in the role of some highly trained operative, doling out vigilante justice.
Queen Latifah ?! Give me a break ::)
What's next, Ricki Lake in a Die Hard spinoff?
-
There is only ONE Equalizer, and he had the best Theme as well!

The original Equalizer TV show starred an old doughy guy. So old, in fact, that he croaked while the show was still in production. He wasn't exactly chasing after bad guys and wrestling them to the ground. Queen Latifah is just as credible in the role as he was.

This.
Only Hebreics would lobby for Queen Latifah in said role.

I can see Tyler Perry's next movie , " Madea Evens the Score" ;D

I can't stand films or shows with women kicking every mans arse, throwing them around like rag dolls. You have to suspend belief with a man doing it, atleast arnold, van damme, sly etc took some punishment in their movies.
Queen latifah is just horrible, why not get Opra to do it, just as believable

For latest on Denzel take a look at this one:

Only a fat, black fag like yourself would think Queen Latifah is credible in that role.

Don't bring Goodrum into this.

If you are trying to insult me you will have to try a lot harder. Queen Latifah is a credible as the old chubby white guy who died while the original series was in production. He wasn’t exactly throwing punches and dodging bullets. He was old and about as chunky as she is. ::)
-
I really liked the Equalizer with Denzel Washington. I will not be watching the Queef Latifah version.

She was second choice as black Tom Cruise is no longer with us ;D

He had a heart attack while filming in 1987 I think
He survived

Ok, go with Wonder Woman or f'n Scooby Doo .
Hey Dim Wit, my point was , these characters are FICTIONAL.
Sorry to bust your bubble, but the the Easter Bunny isn't a real rabbit.
The only bunny that cums to YOUR house is TBombz in the suit.

Edward Woodward was once under consideration to take up the Bond role after Sean Connery quit the first time. (prior to returning for another film years later). He had everything they were looking for except for a credible "romance" act. In tests, unlike Connery who came across suave and full of self confidence, Woodward came across too cold and detached. Someone remarked that watching him attempt a love scene was almost like watching him conduct a sexual interrogation, he was too "business like".
-
That's how I fuck and I've yet to receive a single poor review from the HR Department.

I think you are confused - Edward Woodward - who played The Equalizer - died in 2009 about 20 years after the end of the original TV show

You are correct; he did not die. He suffered one or more serious cardiac issues while filming forcing him to leave the show and it was then cancelled. I do remember reading about his heart attack at the time. This was all pre internet so it wasn’t as easy to track down or follow the details. Bottom line: he was old, chubby, had heart issues, and had to retire from the show. He was definitely not throwing punches with juiced muscles and dyed hair like Stallone or Arnold.

I used to watch the original Equalizer.
Good show.

Denzel was of normal build, and in his 50's, when he did the Equalizer movies. He was great for the role because he is a great actor, and the audience sees him as credible
There is nothing about Queen Latifah that says she belongs in a show like that. She should stick to comedies like Living Single. Or Christmas movies on the Hallmark channel.

I enjoyed the 2 he did in this role. Not sure if he did any more ?
Great actor and you could see him as an ex-CIA operative living on the "down low" .
I loved how he'd say how many sec it would take, hit his watch and commence to kick'n ass.
If I tried THAT, it would be to see how long they take to blow a load up my old arse LOL. :o

It’s nice to hear you say that now, but when he was first tagged for the role and the studio started promoting the film there were quite a few internet experts who complained about the McCall role being filled by a person of color. The casting was deemed illegitimate, politically correct, the end of (white) civilization, etc. Now we have another collection of internet experts decrying the casting of a black woman in the role. Yawn. ::)
Presumably the critics who disapprove are not watching the show so why do they care? Is it fear of being replaced?

Why not just come up with a different character instead of replacing him with anyone?

No, it's who it's being replaced by. Halle Berry, would have made a much better choice.
You see Bay, we are not all white supremacists. We just don't want an ugly, obese, woman, in an ass-kicking role.
We also make fun of Steven Seagal, not because he is white, but because he is obese, and no longer believable in the ass-kicking role.
In my opinion, I would have no problem with Idris Elba as the next Bond. Dude can fit the bill.

A woman playing the role of a man. So the "The Equalizer" becomes "Teh Eunuchizer"? I don't give an airborne intercourse that Queen, "Babe The Pig" Latifah is "black", she is a woman. A BIG woman, but a woman all the same. I have never seen any of the shows or films about this character but to go woke because you feeeeeeeeeeeeeel it is necessary to teach the "world" a lesson about bitches be tough, 'n' sheit, is stupid and doomed to financial failure ala "Ghostbusters".
More? Exempli gratia: I don't know much about "The Equalizer". Bond? Yup. I do not think James Bond should be a woman, lezbo or straight. Neither do I think he should be black or Indian, Chinese or Puerto Rican or...Well, you get the idea. The creator of Bond drew a headshot of his character and said character was white and male. But I have seen plenty of black folk that become caucasional. Amongst the famous for example, Michael Jackson, his sisters and Nickie Minaj to name but a few. In other words, create a character that is fat, and female (regardless of epidermal colour) and see if it attracts anything other than wokesters and flies. With cucktards it can be summed up thus:
It's all about the woke.
So then...Who we gonna call? Wokebusters.
