Brings back memories of the whining little asses that was willing to let America fail just because Obama was POTUS.
How did all that work out for them? :D

Don't cut off your nose to spite your face

Succeed how? By printing more money? Creating never ending inflation ?
-
Their states are probably on the receiving end of a lot of that printed money.

Coach, I’m not sure if you’re confusing this bill with the $1.75 trillion bill with the pork and climate change crap. This one, is a good thing, for sure, and a win for everybody.

How do you know? We don't even know what's in the bill. Or how we're going to pay for it.
Wait, it's probably full of "shovel ready" jobs.

There should be some interesting primaries next year.

There’s a portion of it funded by money leftover from pandemic stimulus. $550 million for roads/bridges, better water quality, and broadband for rural areas. How could this be a bad thing?

That's not how any of this works. There isn't some pot of pandemic stimulus money just waiting to be earmarked for "roads and bridges." That' "roads and bridges" phrase is constantly used by politicians. It's a meaningless platitude.
You know you're not reciting anything that comes directly from the bill. We'll find out over the weeks and months just how much worthless pork is in that bill. It is likely "shovel ready jobs" part deux.

How can it be a bad thing? Hint. Hint. Because Sleepy Joe has a "D" next to his name.

What is interesting to me is that America's infrastructure is in poor shape. Wonder how those against improving it would feel it the bridge they were driving on collapsed onto another highway or into a river while they were on it. No doubt if they survived, they'd be first inline to sue the government.
Putting more people to work and thus improving the economy via federal government funded infrastructure improvements is not a new idea. It's worked in the past. There is no reason to think it wouldn't work again.
The New Deal was a massive effort to lift the United States out of the Great Depression on several fronts. President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s plan created the Social Security Administration to protect older Americans financially, and used the Agricultural Adjustment Act to help farmers get out of debt. The New Deal also created new agencies to fund projects across the country that both improved communities and provided jobs at a time when unemployment was high.
9 New Deal Infrastructure Projects That Changed America
The Hoover Dam, LaGuardia Airport and the Bay Bridge were all part of FDR's New Deal investment.

Both sides will never turn down 1 trillion. They payback all their favors to be in their position this way. It's the sole reason 99% of them are there.

NYC is supposed to get a fortune from this, no wonder why they caved.
