I must admit that the WWF/WWE have always had amazing production value. Regardless of it being "sports entertainment" versus wrestling of any sort, they have an amazing team behind them and I appreciate what they've meant for adults & kids of all ages.

This business has been around since the 1960s and well into present day (60+ years). You have to give it to McMahon and his family, they hit the mark.

They can be rented a lot longer if you aren't juicing as much as Luger was.

I first saw Lex in Florida Championship Wrestling, he was managed by Percy Pringle (who later became Paul Bearer in the WWF). He and Ravishing Rick Rude were tag partners for a minute.

I suspect it's due to inbreeding and wrestling being strange bedfellows.   In other words..."It's REAL to me, DAMMIT!" is pretty much a slogan for fans of pro wrasslin'.   Many of those folk make me look almost average.  ;D

There was a thread on here about Lex working in a gym years ago,  where someone was in the gym when Lex was being loud while inclining 315 for reps, and some Asian kid asked if he was done or if he could work in. Lex made sure the kid knew it was 315 and the kid jumped in and repped it out while working up to a set at 405.

I always think of this story whenever a Lex thread is posted.

Luger wasn't particularly known for his strength like some of his colleagues were, but he looked phenomenonal for a tall guy.

Just had some business doings in the Western New York panhandle and was eating dinner right next to Lex at Carte Blanche in Hamburg NY.

He was in a wheelchair, ordered a steak, baked potato-loaded and had a piece of cheesecake for dessert.  What I found weird is that the meal was comped and he wheeled out of the restaurant, got out of the wheelchair put it in the back of his SUV and jumped into the front and drove off.

Yeah a few years ago he was able to walk again but still needs the wheelchair. Freak accident on the whole situation causing the paralysis.

Hate to say it, but there is really nothing special in that first picture.  That could be any gym bro from any town.

He was really built right at the time he was trying to join the Four Horseman.

I think he was getting tested in the WWF. That was about the time McMahon was being investigated by the feds. His WCW/NWA look was much better.

Rude could’ve written the best autobio ever…such a shame he passed before wrestlers started doing shoot interviews.

That was the going rate in the early 90s for a commercial grade bench.

You can still watch matches on Youtube. I grew up watching Georgia Championship Wrestling and loved Gordon Soley. Had no idea he was a commentator for CWF as well until Youtube. There are stories about him and some wrestlers carpooling back and forth from Tampa to Atlanta every week. I guess he was a speed demon on those trips.

In all honesty, it appears she was well on the road to meeting her demise anyway from her own addictions.

Most addicts die on the streets. However, there are many well-off addicts out there as well.

Its strange. Have you ever seen these YouTube videos of guys taking on massive eating challenges? Many of them are relatively skinny. Do they immediately throw up once they get off of camera? If not, then it certainly gives credence to cheat days.

If you are exercising and eating right for 6 days, then the 7th day won't matter.  It actually stimulates the mind and body.

I still don't know how these guys don't puke after these challenges.

Literally pounds of food.

You are actually very dumb. A true alcoholic would do almost anything to get that next drink. Lie, cheat, steal,

Many also do things that they normally wouldn't do, while under the influence.

Alcohol is legal. Alcohol doesn't involve smoking something or shooting something into your veins, so it mostly flies under the radar.

Alcohol, ruins just as many lives as other drug addicts.

But it's advertised on national TV, and is prominent in almost every movie and TV show, these days.

Now you see why prohibition became such a problem. People weren't going to give up drinking.

I meant food. I’m not sure why wallet is there.

Do you have a hard time maintaining your thoughts?

Please educate us, alcoholic’s would do a number of deplorable acts for their next drink? Are you talking about spending all their money on alcohol and then robbing a liquor store for a fix or are suggesting a straight man would suck off another man for a beer? Is that type behavior normal for drunks, like it is for hardcore drugs?

Speak from your experience.

You do know when the prohibition took place they were running advertising on tv, you know why right?

Did you ever think the prohibition failed because of multiple reasons; it was taking away a right (not just an American right but one that existed throughout history, it was poorly planned and to your point it was a proven industry.
