I gotta` go with Porter....he`s unorthodox and never stops coming forward...... but Crawford has power in both hands and a great defense.....it`s gonna` be a war.

Crawford figures him out by 5th or 6th round and doles out a beating the rest of the way. Crawford by UD.

Man, I don't quite know what it is about Porter but he's just ugly to watch. Did someone else once describe his style as similar to a drowning man flailing around? That's definitely how I see it. Still, he will come to fight and it should be good. I see Crawford taking a wide points decision, though.

Porter is rough like Horn but isn't as refined as Diaz but he fits their mold. I thought Crawford would take it easy on him until Kenny Porter started running his mouth to BoMac. Porter is durable but is going to take a legendary beating in the 2nd half of this fight.
Remember Crawford a State Champion in Wrestling.

Like most I'm picking Crawford. He's been showing really good power since he moved to Welter and Shawn seems to be there to hit a lot. That being said Porter is an amazing fighter and has seen every other decent Welter other then Boots so I wouldn't be shocked if he pulled an upset decision.

Don`t forget if not for Porters glove touching the ground,he probably would have beat Spence IMO.....and Spence has power like Crawford.
Anyway,it`s gonna` be a barn burner.

I got Crawford by a UD or late stoppage. It’s wont be easy though, Porter is a tough out for anybody.

I disagree. Crawford is 7 for 7 above 140 in the stoppage category, has power in both hands, and can tap you at long range with 74'' reach (freaky for a 5'8 guy) or shorten (uncommon for fighters with an abnormally long reach) his shots on the inside. Spence is kind of a plotter like GGG who uses punch placement (with better defense as in catching return fire with his gloves) but doesn't have one or two-shot short circuit power. I remember they did a punch torque comparison and Spence fell within the range of 126lb Leo Chicken Cruz. There's a reason why James and Spence keep talking side of the street.
Porter has the 4th Qtr running back durability but it's going to play to his disadvantage this fight. Crawford is going to take a fight or 2 off of what's left of his career. Gamboa, Diaz, Horn and Delorme were not the same fighters after Crawford.
It's better to get knocked out early vs. taking a sustained beating from an accurate, skilled fighter who can land 50% (prime FMW Jr and Lara) of his power shots. Obviously, Crawford is a better puncher than those 2.

I agree in a sense but Crawford has fought Jose Benevidez with a bullet in his lame leg,Kell Brook who was damaged badly by Triple G,and Yuriokis Gamboa who is old and either on or off on any particulat night, and a washed up Amir "The Man With The Glass Jaw" Khan,and Jeff Horn.
Meanwhile Porter has fought Jose Diaz,Danny Garcia,Keith Thurman,Paulie Malanaggi,Adrian Broner (before he became a total clown),an always tough mutherfucker in Adrian Granados,throw in a then undamaged and extremely fresh Kell Brook, Ugas and Spence and you can imagine why Crawford looks so great against his opposition.....Porter has fought everyone,much much tougher opponents, and though Crawford is an awesome boxer his resume` pales next to Porters by comparison BIGTIME.....Porter has fought all the elite guys in the division,Crawford won most of his best fights at 140 IMO and has fought the guys I posted above as a full fledged welterweight.
MY point is Porter rises to the level of his opposition and you can never ever count him out of any fight.
I,m not a Porter jock rider but he rises to the level of his opposition which is always top notch and he never stops coming....you can`t count him out anytime in any fight.
I hate Porters wild football player "style" but he`s tough as Hell and he`s got dog in him.....and his "style" works well for him based on his track record......very effective.

Good breakdown, similar to mine but I don't think he knows Crawford's physicality comes from a wrestling background. Also, I really don't count Gamboa moving from 126-135. I think Horn is a better strength litmus test.

That's crazy. I saw a lot of youtubers make that prediction, hope they placed bets.
Spence literally ran out of the building with his men (man fans) before they could get him to step in the ring.

Great fight. Porter showed admirable courage, but it's a shame he's not as measured and thoughtful inside the ring as he is outside of it. The stoppage was a little bit premature. Seems as though Porter's dad cared more about proving a point than his son's safety.
