This is a weird one,Joe Bucci made a friend request to me just the other day on Facebook where I rarely go these days.

Why me and how did he come to single me out....I never met him IRL?

Maybe he reads the board...who knows?

Natural?  LOL.  Did Joe ever claim as much?

That physique, though -- holy shit.  He looked incredible!

Will someone please drag the Olympia set-designer to a screen and force him to watch the first routine - now that's how you light a bodybuilding stage FFS!  Not all that advertising crap whizzing around in the background, with every bit of detail washed out by the LED spotlights

Didn't he own the Marina Pacific Hotel on the Venice Boardwalk and offer muscle vacation packages?  I think this got lots of coverage in the 80s so not that obscure.

1000% agree on the set lighting and setup thing.  The "athletes" should demand this because it vastly improves their videos and pictures.  Like the 1987 IFBB Essen Grand Prix lighting, amazing

Bucci was good but not the best
He may have won the title of worst Hollywood actor ever. His movies were unwatchable. He made the Barbarian Brothers look like Oscar winners.

When it comes to lighting, the old WBF shows (at least the first one) had it perfectly.

Bucci made more M&F covers than many top IFBB pros did. Didn’t he win a WABBA world title at one point?

Even with the best lighting ever, today guys would still look like bloofy globs of shit,or at the very least, the proverbial bag of smashed assholes.
