Title: Difference Between Right and Left (my perspective)
Post by: djliftsthings on November 23, 2021, 10:28:08 AM
Im obviously far right
personal opinion---the left sees Rittenhouse as a criminal who should get killed and BLM celebrates a  black dude running over a bunch of people and make George Floyd a hero

the right, speaking for myself, see those guys who shot Ahmaud Arbery as retards who should be locked up forever for what they did. Nothing to celebrate there, its a crime

I believe the right sees crime as a crime while the left makes it to suit their agenda

fuck the left

You are correct.  Oftentimes when a conservative is exposed as a criminal or it turns out some awful person has a history of supporting the right wing, the left will point it out and shout conservatives are hypocrites.  Conservatives espouse law and order and traditional politics so the left loves to point out a right wing criminal. While the bleeding heart left espouse progressive politics and reform so they routinely make excuses for any group they have claimed. Wether its a transwoman raping a girl in a gender neutral bathroom or minimizing a black guy driving a car into a truly peaceful parade at the same time still talking about the "white nationalist" who drove a car into a group of people in Charlotte N.C.

The difference is that you dont see people on the right defend this stuff. They dont put a piece of shit on a pedestal.

While the left have practically deified Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown and George Floyd.

Arbery situation is a weird one and very different from Kyle R to me.  Maybe the dude was indeed a hoodlum who'd been burglarizing the community, I don't think that justifies mobilizing your Hillbilly Militia, chasing him down in a pickup truck and shooting him.  Call the police and be done with it!  That's part of what makes USA a supposedly great country to me, we don't just chase people down in the street and shoot them for perceived trangressions, that's what happens in shithole countries.

Similarly on the argument that maybe if he got away he would have "hurt someone"; maybe so, then he'll be caught and punished according to the law.  We don't need vigilante justice on minor stuff like burglary.

that's not the right, because there's loads of people on the "right" here that think that the folks that shot Ahmaud Arbery are heros.

Rittenhouse was a hero though.

More people should follow suit.

Haven't you said that you live entirely off of government assistance?  And so don't you owe your daily survival (and even alright lifestyle) to left wing social welfare programs?

Yeah they are two completely different situations.

I have some family and friends who believe the Arbery shooting was justified.

I'm a right leaning Libertarian, but the past 2 years have made me lean more and more to the right.

There just aren't many left ideals that i agree with anymore. I'm starting to have disdain for most Liberals today.

Even my GF and her family who are a 50/50 split on Con/Lib all believe that Kyle is a murderer. They didn't even watch the trial.

They are anti-gun too which causes extreme bias.

Right and left is not black or white. There are many shades of gray. This is my perspective.

The Democratic Party is a mess right now despite controlling the Presidency and the House.  The midterm elections next year I think will be ugly for them:
- Divide between far-left members and more moderate members is growing
- Current party leaders (Pelosi, Biden) are old and unexciting
- Future of the party is unclear.  Kamala isn't doing anything and other prominent members are polarizing extremists like AOC
- Party has no national-level strategy or message other than "We aren't Trump"

The latter item in my list is the most important one.  I think Republicans keep winning despite the general leaning of the USA population gradually becoming more liberal because the Republican party has a clear message of what the party stands for and what the party is about that unites Republicans at all levels of government.  Because of this, Republicans are much better about firing up their base to get out and vote for whoever the candidate is.  Meanwhile big chunks of the Dem base get excited about some extremist like Bernie Sanders, then when he inevitably loses the nomination they take their ball and go home = low turnout where Republicans win every time.

Which individual would you rather be related to??

Look at the life of George Floyd. 46 years of drug abuse and crime. He even had a failed career in pornography. He had a filthy lifestyle. The day that he died, he was high on at least 2 drugs and was spending counterfeit money to obtain cigarettes, which he ended up stealing.

Look at the life of Rittenhouse. 17 years of clean living. At 18, on the grounds of self-defense, he was acquitted of murdering 2 violent felons.

I agree, it's apples and  oranges with Rittenhouse and Aubrey. I'm, apparently left ON THIS BOARD... but I see a difference. I have issues with Kyle inserting his untrained ass in a situation that even his attorney says he would never do again. But the Law was on his side. .. I can live with that.

Aubrey.... If they walk, justice will not have been served and it is a black eye on the system.
