So I'm getting tired of looking for hotels with gyms or hotels with gyms close by when I travel. I am looking at getting a portable home gym that I can pack in a suitcase. Something like this:

Does anyone have a similar unit that they use and would recommend?

I guess I should have known better than to post a bodybuilding/fitness question on Getbig.
I doubt many people here actually workout.
🙄

Do you want the nubian adonis to come with it?

Thanks!
I’ve seen this one advertised. Looks good but is it worth the $550 price tag?

Looks like some bondage shit for faggots

Check out the Jaquish X3 Elite system. I purchased this setup awhile back. It's allows me a good workout within a brief time frame. The equipment is solid and should last awhile. Downsides are that it probably takes a little more room when packed up and it focuses on strength training.

Got rid of shitzo
But then Howard returned
JPJ back puts things back in our favor

Goruck rucker 3.0 with a 30lb plate and TRX inside is probably the most versatile gym you can take anywhere.

Definitely mate Jane posting always livens up the board and if she causes Howard to leave again things will be perfect

I thought the getbig verdict on this was that it was just an overpriced band system.

It is.
But it's also versatile, and if you can afford it, why not?

Thanks for the feedback. I’ll definitely consider it.

Getbig didn't pay for it. I did. After using it for exactly a year, my verdict is that it is worth the price. Getbig doesn't make decisions for me.

You tried other band setups before? They never "feel right" like a bar or dumbells or even machines.

There are lots of ways to exercise. Some suit some people better than others for a variety of reasons. In this case, I wanted something to use at home since I wasn't inclined to continue to go to the gym during the pandemic for a variety of reasons including the fact that wearing a mask while working out is extremely uncomfortable for me.
These bands work. No doubt those made by other manufacturers do too. I'm not inclined to waste time to trying them all before deciding what to buy...if that were even possible. I've used some flimsy bands when doing physical therapy and occasionally at home. I don't think they are very effective for bodybuilding.

Gimmick outed as prime muscle :D

They make portable chin up and dip contraptions. The one pictured ratchets to a tree. Also pick up the book Never gymless. It's a good read. Not a fan of the rubber band rage. The resistance is nearly non existent for half of the rep then it gets too hard. Try something like this while traveling.
1. Split jumps from the lunge position (Power)
2. Burpees (conditioning)
3. Deep controlled body weight squats.(legs)
4. body weight lunges (legs)
5. Pull ups ( back biceps)
6. Body weight rows from a low bar. (back biceps)
7. dips (chest and tricep)
8. Push ups elevated feet (chest, delts and triceps)
9. Regular push ups (chest and triceps)
10. various ab work like situps, crunches and leg raises)
11. single leg calf work
Throw in some distance or sprinting alternated with the bodyweight strength training days.
Never think you're at a disadvantage with body weight stuff. You could be ripped and in fantastic condition doing it.
Someone mentioned TRX. Truly a portable system.

Thanks again for the feedback!
The X3 looks like the best unit, however I do have a semi commercial home gym that I normally use, I was just looking for something to use while traveling. I'll probably buy a "knock off" version of the X3. Something less durable but lighter and less expensive.

Not a bad idea for travel. The X3 has the bottom plate and a really solid bar. Both add a bit of weight. If you travel by air, you'd want to keep the equipment light.

I decided to go with this unit.

Lower quality than yours but probably lighter and easier to travel with.

You got ripped off. Found almost the same thing on Amazon for 21 bucks. Tons of cheaper options on Amazon with the same equipment/materials.

Yes I got the same thing for around that price.

That's a good deal. Did it come with a steel bar too?

There is one that does and it’s 69.00.
I purchased the one for 21.00 and went to Home Depot and purchased a pvc pipe. It works the same way as the steel bar.

Or, purchase the one for 21.00 and purchase the steel bar separately. It’s still cheaper than 140.00.
Welcome!

Eventually, I purchased a bunch of resistant bands from elite fitness. Great quality.

I’ll keep this in mind. I’ll have to check and see if they ship to Canada.
