I gather you aren't talking about walking lunges. My kitchen is large and there is no way to do 40 walking lunges without a lot of turns. When I want to do these at home, I go out front and do them on the sidewalk which is more than 100' just in the front of my house. It's on a grade so I get a full workout by going downgrade and then upgrade.
