I met Paul at Golds Gym in 1991. Just walking around he had the best physique ever seen. Contests are another thing with various poses that don't always reward the best physique. He was huge from top to bottom. The only thing distracting were those awful veins on his chest.

The only thing I can remember is him passing out on stage.  Did he ever win a pro show?

As said, just relaxed, pumped, Paul was a freak to end all freaks.

The man’s response to gear is unmatched.

He works out like a monster wimp.

I remember I saw him looking tall and very skinny at an amateur show. I was totally stacked at the time and he just couldn't take his eyes off me.

Dillet's lower body soundly thrashing Ruhl.

Dillet used no Synthol. Ruhl used all the Synthol.
Therefore Dillet > than Ruhl.

Lmao! A simple 10 minutes set aside everyday for posing practice and the guy could’ve been Mr. Olympia. Paul, on the other hand, had average genetics at best and was never going to make a dent into the competition.

Yes I think it's why he looks like a mutant in photos alone but on stage does not stand out vs. other great BBers.

Same can be said of most pros I think.  Tons of muscle but not generally huge people in terms of height or just overall frame.  This is why most BBers are dwarfed by BBers who are truly "Big" like Lou F no matter how much muscle they have, or why they look small vs. strongman competitors who are usually giants.

100% agree - we all agree he was huge, but the illusion of even more massive width was definitely helped by him having a smaller noggin

And that silhouette as he first appears in the archway to come onstage - Pow!

Right, not the years of training dieting, his outstanding physique and gear use. It was simply his head that won him contests lol.

Multiple Grand Prix show in Europe, after goofing up the Arnold Classic in 1994. His biggest win was the Night of Champions in 1999.

Which was a robbery. Ruhl was the clear winner showing up in his best form ever but new on the scene so they gave it to Dillet
