Title: San Diego
Post by: Irongrip400 on February 09, 2022, 04:48:49 PM
I知 headed there end of this month for a four days. Anything special to hit? Also, I saw in my travel update that as of February 16th masks will no longer be required indoors. And, that no proof of vaccine is needed for anything. Seems like things are getting back to normal. Good stuff.

Anybody trying to get up and throw hands?

Check out the Gaslamp Quarter.  Just wander around and check out the sights, lots of bars and restaurants.  La Jolla is very pretty and has lots of restaurants.

La Jolla is amazing.

It's about a 30 minute drive to Mexico from downtown SD.

Easier to walk across once you get there.

Driving across is a pain and takes time.

Take your passport.

Where did you see that?  I must be sleepwalking.  They are still trying to push a booster mandate for March 2nd.

Check out La Jolla & the coves. Old Town. If you staying in the Gaslamp, you can walk to see The Midway & the Star of India. Go to Tivoli's, one of Americas oldest bars. Wyatt Earp used to drink there. If your'e going to Tijuana, park on this side of the border & walk across. Expect a bit of a wait to get back across to the US, especially on the weekends. The Zoo is great. Sea World if you're into that kind of place. The Birch Aquarium too. Cool museums in Balboa Park. Pacific Beach for day drinking & checking out really hot chicks. Some great restaurants in the Gaslamp, but make sure to hit one of the small independent taco shops & try a fried fish taco & make sure to try a California burrito

Wonderfully weird mannequins on board and statues nearby.

I like San Diego. +1 to the Gaslamp rec. Lou % Mickeys is a good steak and I liked their seafood tower. There should be lots of eye candy around that area. Plenty of fit chicks they all have a dumb stoned out valley girl vibe but I got over that real quick :)

North Park for a gluten-free version of LA's nightlife.  Don't trip over the homeless on the sidewalks

Fleming's Prime Steak

Mira Mesa for the Getbiggers who follow the Hot Asian Thread but they'll be surprised when they go to the LA Fitness in that area for a workout.

I know 2 women, pretty hot, with IQs lower than Christy Mack (SD native and a consistent look y'all find)

I didn't read all the comments but here's what I'd say: (god knows I love san diego)

Waterfront bar
Julian for a change of pace
Old Town
A slow coast ride from Oceanside to downtown - take the whole day to explore
I'd skip Tijuana for sure but if you do venture below the border TAKE YOUR PASSPORT or you will be fucked.  Driver's licence doesn't cut it any more.
Del Mar

Ah it just goes on and on.  I fell hard in love with SD the first time I went there and was lucky enough to live there for about 5 years.  I'm very jealous.

This is literally the best the state can dig up to run against Newsum.  Easy 2 terms of buffoonery.

Is pacific beach an area in San Diego proper or on the outskirts of town?

Seems like a lot of good recommendations here, thinking of staying an extra day and pushing the flight if it works out.

Wow...that looks just like Robert Crumb's ideal woman [mods - let me know if this cartoon is not allowed - I just pulled it up in a web search...Crumb always drew women like this, to anyone who followed his comics]:

Locally known as "The Swish Alps"

A term Reeves coined here decades ago.
