Anyone else get one of these? Always trying to figure out what I am dying from but it appears my blood has plenty of Oxygen in it. That is another check in the going to live forever box for me

Good for checking if you are about to die (90 or lower). For athletic performance the finger tip units are fucking useless. You can get a 5% change in PO2 just sitting on the couch doing nothing. I've used them for cycling- the data is meaningless. Good for measuring pulse though.

Just reconfirming I don't have congestive heart failure or something as the 109 is my resting heart rate but my blood pressure is in the ideal range as is cholesterol and kidney and liver functions are fine on bloodwork as well. But 109 is a little out of the normal adult range so wanted to check a few other vitals and confirm if anything seemed out of the ordinary. It is within my normal range.

Yes- you've talked about a high resting pulse before. Maybe it's genetic. I did some research on it and it appears that is not uncommon. My resting pulse (sitting down) is ~60. My max pulse is over 190. Meanwhile I have a friend in equally good cycling shape who has a resting pulse in the high 30s and a max pulse of just under 150. So much natural variation.
That being said, I know I am getting sick or over trained when my resting pulse sits at 70.

PEDs+tachy = atherosclerosis
I would say, exercise, but you probably only walk on a treadmill for 20 mins for cardio.

No but I have a flux capacitator.

Brought mine to work again today, along with a temperature checker, since I currently have the Rona. Just checked, and my Oxygen is 97 Heart rate is 77. Temp is 98.2. My resting heart rate has been running higher than usual since contracting the Chinese Flu. It was running in the 90's, and when checking while on the Stairmaster, it would quickly jump up into the 120's within the first minute or two. Seems to be normalizing now.

You should try it on your toes also. Serious, see that the oxygen is properly making it to extremities.

Bhank, have you ever thought of getting an executive physical? Look into the Greenbrier Clinic executive physical. I’ve done it a few times there, plus you stay at the resort for a few days so that’s pretty cool. They do a complete run down of anything you could think of. It’s a very reassuring thing to do.

for someone who cliams he doesnt use drugs you seem awfully concerned about your health.
I dont remember my dad getting his bloodwork done every few months and checking his BPO and heart rate

but if I break a sweat it still counts ??

Why would I ever walk on a treadmill I have a dog and live at the beach. I walk the dog at least a mile every day. When I do cardio like snowboarding mountain biking or surfing or whatever the weight comes off very quickly. Weightlifting is exercise last I checked. A Middle-aged ectomorph trying to bulk up should avoid cardio like the plague.
If you break a sweat, you are doing it wrong

Anything over 90 is supposed to be fine just like any pulse between 70-100 is considered normal. I am now in a good range for both under 100 and over 90. But honestly this thing jumps up and down a few points every couple seconds it’s on your finger

It popped back up the next reading and regardless my blood pressure is perfect which is the usual suspect indicator for a weightlifter having an issue

I have one. Used it several time a day these past few days to make sure my oxygen saturation wasn't going down because of COVID. 95 to 100 is in the normal range for blood oxygen. A normal adult pulse on an oximeter is between 70-99 BPM. Something seems a little bit off with your reading.

Bhank makes his own rules about what is good and what isn't. A pulse ox (SpO2) below 95 percent is considered low.

I think you are supposed to leave it on until the reading is fairly constant.
