It started about two weeks ago but I can no longer stomach eggs. It's not like I hit a wall by eating too many. In the past I have hit the wall with chicken breasts and tuna but that was because I was eating it every day during my diet. This is different with eggs. I might eat eggs 1-2 times a week. Scrambled, boiled or whatever. Last week I made some eggs, took two bites and wanted to throw up. I had to hold it in and walk away from the table. I felt sick and nauseous. A few days later I tried eggs again and the same thing. I thought maybe the eggs were bad even though they weren't expired so I bought a new dozen of some organic eggs. I cooked a couple and right away I wanted to throw up again. One last time yesterday and same shit.
WTF is happening? Could I have just all of a sudden become allergic? I have heard this happening to people. Eating stuff for 40 years of their lives then all of a sudden becoming allergic to things like shellfish etc...
Has this shit happened to you?

I eat lots of eggs. Only if is i dont use any salt, otherwise i want to throw up.
Hope this helps.

I've had the same issue with scrambled eggs, I'd be eating them and would suddenly want to vomit. Its random, many times I won't have any issue. But when I have that feeling i wont eat eggs until I crave them.
Oddly enough I can eat food made with eggs (french toast) without any problems.
-
why dont you just stop eating eggs?

I’m still sponsored by Egg Whites International. Instead of water, I use that mixed with protein powder. You can’t even taste it and it digests easier than regular eggs
-
I like to mix them in pancake mix to make them easier to eat. You may be allergic though. It’s rare, but you can become allergic to them later in life. It’s a death sentence for a bodybuilder.

I've noticed my taste for things changes every 10 years or so.
Things i enjoyed eating 10 years ago i will not eat today.
This happen to me with milk. I used to drink it everyday and now i can't drink it at all.
Maybe try mixing them with some ham, onions, garlic and bell peppers; spice them up a bit.
I cannot eat plain eggs anymore, they have to be spiced up with something.
I used to eat 5-6 plain boiled eggs everyday no problem, not anymore.

Yes - and all it took was about 4 weeks of not eating eggs. Back to normal then. The body switches between foods based on the innate biochemistry. It was getting saturated of the nutrients in one food.
-
i had that problem the first week i decided i wanted to build muscle many years ago
i never ate eggs a lot before that point but i thought they were ok, but everything i read said eggs were a great protein source for wannabe bodybuilders so i decided i should eat them every day
i tried eating 6 scrambled eggs, and the smell and taste after a few bites made me want to puke and i haven't eaten them since

I do this as well.
1 cup of egg whites
1 scoop of protein powder
Some water or almond milk
Quick and easy
Can’t taste the egg whites

This is frankly frightening. I like eggs, to think i could wake up one day and be deprived? Forget it
-
Yep - same thing happened to me with plain canned tuna - took me over a year before I could face it again, and I sort of broke myself back in via tuna mayo
So maybe give yourself a break and then ease back to them via spices or something, like ThisisOverload says..?

I rarely eat eggs now because of this, I get choked up and feel like puking. WTF kind of GMO bullshit is going on with our eggs?

When I first started lifting I was told you gotta drink a gallon of milk a day. I would stop at convenience stores and get a pint and slam it down quickly several times a day. Then one day I drank one real fast and I felt something lumpy in my throat. That damn stuff had gone bad and I drank it without checking. I immediately threw my guts up and haven’t drank milk since.

I hit a wall with Tilapia. I guess more so when I started reading up on Tilapia and how people say the fish are raised in unsanitary conditions etc. I actually liked Tilapia. All it takes is a bad batch of fish to make you hit a wall. I recall Phil Heath saying how he hated Tilapia but included it in his meals.

Yes in my college days I was drinking a lot of skim milk. Milk makes you retain water. In hindsight not the best choice.

exactly right. I think it was a blessing in disguise for me although it didn’t seem like it at the time.

How were dinosaur eggs?

I love eggs, but more than 3 or 4 large eggs a day would give me digestive issues.
Started using freeze dried egg powder for omelettes, egg fried rice, scrambled eggs etc and I can eat as much as I want. Taste wise it is maybe 90% as good as real eggs. Give it a try and see if it makes you feel sick.

I quit them the same time and day i retired from competitive bodybuilding along with AS use and IM injections, only ever used TRT last ten years subcutaneously on and off , Twenty years now since i ate an egg or had a IM shot, the appetite for either never returned, cant even stand the smell of them.

OP - just don’t eat the fertilized eggs. It’s probably the little pieces of chick embryo making ya sick ;D

It's happened but not without reason.
Twice in my life I've had severe food poisoning from eggs and I couldn't face them again for awhile afterwards.
The second time it was nearly a year.

I wonder if having covid or getting vaccines messed me up.

How are you cooking them? Fuck eating boiled eggs or that rubbery, scrambled shit that retards bodybuilders nuke in a microwave. Maybe try eggs benedict or a decent fried rice in an omelette. Good cooking is the key. And for scrambling, copy the GOAT:

I used to go through 18 to 24 dozen a week. I bought them at the local egg farms. My metabolism dictates a lot of calories even to this day but I no longer need to eat as much as I do not need to be big anymore. I may want to be big but it ain't gonna happen now, LOL!
-
Try eating Pasture raised organic eggs see what happens, the yolks should be orange, never eat that corn/soy fed stuff.

Haven’t tried it with Almond milk. Sounds good. I’ll try it, thanks

Years ago, I learned to cook scrambled eggs on low heat stirring them often, but just until they are creamy and then get them off the heat and plate them. I am the official scrambled egg chef in my house. Omelets are best cooked fast and on high heat. Basted eggs are my favorite. They are like poached eggs only none of the egg whites are runny...which grosses me out.
