Bodybuilding is not in the same place it was back when it first brought the Master Olympia (1994) to the stage ..... So is it a good idea to bring it back ?? If so what would be the ideal age ?
Over 40 ?
Over 45 ?
over 50 ?
WoooSHHHHHHHHHHHHH STAY VINTAGE BITCHES

It should absolutely be back. It gives not just pro bodybuilders a chance to continue to compete but also inspires older weightlifters. Honestly the masters contest is almost more impressive to see what these guys can still do. However yes the times have changed they should raise the age. I would say 45 or better yet 50 but not 40 too many pros still competing in the Open at 40 now. Also yes absolutely Yongblood proved you can beat the Vince Taylors of the world even if you started late. He proved you can not only be a beast but can add size late in the game. He didn't just get his body to last into Masters he actually improved as a Master. He inspired me then and continues to do so now.

Taylor was the most winningest bodybuilder in the world at the time. He has legendary structure and never stopped competing. Youngblood started training at 34. He win his pro card as a master. He has shit structure but he was just such a fucking Beast in his old age he just outmuscled Taylor and won. It was amazing.

50 would be good
40's a bit young when rhodan, kamal and others looked great over 40
40 isnt that old

Don was no hero - he was a selfish bastard. He KILLED HIMSELF in pursuit of being Masters O. That was more important to him than being a husband - father - grandfather.
I have no doubt that he is an icon to you - but then again one look in your fridge where you clearly explained that 97% of the food in there was for you and a tiny few items for your son. Being a dad is far greater than being Mr. O. That’s not an opinion - anyone who thinks differently is wrong

Vince is still alive to tell the tale of how one of the winningest bodybuilders was out muscled one time by a guy who had a massive heart attack 3 years later and died. Vince was the real winner that night. He just didn’t know it until years later

Youngblood proved he could beat Vince Taylor by quadrupaling his drug dosages, winning the contest, then kicking the fucking bucket because of it,while Taylor`s still alive and looking great.
Job well done Don.
RIP

If they do bring it back, Bob Saget is not gonna be in it. That’s for damn sure.

Youngblood was a man's man!

Don was different he wasn't a previous Mr. Olympia competitor bodybuilding legend with a dozen pro wins coming back to the stage. He was the everyman who started as a Master and beat the legends he wasn't supposed to beat those guys and he smashed them. It was literally his 2nd pro show.

This movie "
Ok , Big Louie felt the need to make this extremely low budget VHS documentary because he left Pumping Iron unfinished" (his own words)
He hated that the original movie was about Arnold vs himself the entire film and just in the last few mins Serge Nubret pops up out of nowhere and knocks Big louie ot of the way ....
Well , almost 20 years later Stand Tall comes along, and has to be different ; Pay time baby ! this one is now a movie about Lou vs Boyer a battle for the first masters Olympia!!! ....
and at the very last few mins Robby Robinson pops up out of nowhere , taking the tittle away from big Louie ;D
