Can you imagine professional mature athletes from another sport behaving like that in public? :D

He’s pushing 40 and should go the master route.

a lot of these bb's are very sensitive puzzies
justin rodriguez dislikes fouad because they dont praise him on his podcast
(They all place him lower when making their picks/predictions)
the hormones and insecurity, not a good combo

I believe it was 2009 when Victor Del Campo came in with one of the best physiques I ever saw of him, and placed 2nd. It may have been 2008 or 2010 though. I can't remember [Vic had quite a few many runs with national level NPC contests before turning pro in 2013, if I'm not mistaken].
Anyway...I said that he looked great that year, and it's too bad that to get in that type of conditioning, his legs had to come down a small bit from their usual size, but that is the tradeoff when you get ripped [some people lose their legs while dieting - others lose other muscle groups].
Vic got upset with me and removed me from Facebook.
Look - I don't want to INSULT anyone, but I don't think my statement was that cruel, by any means. Maybe I'm wrong about Vic's legs, but I felt like they looked just a touch smaller due to the improved conditioning he brought to the table. One thing I've come to realize that if people are going to be offended by THAT, how can you win? I want to treat people with respect, and be respectful in bringing up a criticism. That doesn't mean NEVER saying anything bad ever.
To be fair to Patrick in that post, the dude initiated that little conflict there.

the ones who deal with their social media the best are the ones who just post, promote, and dont read the comments
im sure it gets tiring for the ones who do
waste of time/energy
-
Most bodybuilders are insecure drama queens. Instead of participating in real sports where they can get hit they build a muscle armour to shelter their fragile egos in.

Correct, most seasoned insta whores know not to respond to peasants( followers) cause they are just that. Peasants, lower class etc.

I can only fathom how they all feel when they finally come off the sauce and come to the realization that they aren't 250+lb monsters anymore, but just slightly bigger than your average gym goer! LOL! Must be devastating to realize that they aren't special anymore

Patrick does need to stop saying he’s the future when he’s 37/38.

Let's not mention structures though ..

Either I’m getting old(er) or it’s too blurry to read

Kid talks too much and 40 isn’t old for seasoned pro.
-

Disagree. Moore is much closer to the mythical X-frame we all talk about
(Plus he's got the kid beat in the beanbag department - not that I'm looking)
-

He’s not a seasoned pro. He turned pro well into his 30s and got a very late start in bodybuilding.
Don’t know what you’re talking about since he even admits getting a late start. The competitions he won were during Covid era when international travel wasn’t easy.

Dude, just because he got a late start doesn’t mean he’s not a seasoned pro. He turned pro 6 years ago and won the Cal Pro in 2019, the same day I won.
-
This doesn't really seem like anything. Someone took a shot at him on social media and he took one back. Probably wouldn't have even responded if it wasn't someone in the same field.
-
Who?

Two gear-heads having an online spat. :)

OK, so that's a single sentence post - who the f*ck has hijacked Matt's account!?!?!

And hasn’t made any improvements since then.
The younger guys like Labrada and Walker smoke him. He’s too old at this point to improve to add the size needed safely.

Don't tell him that on IG or he will start personal attacks against you and block you ;D

Yeah, lol. He’s old but immature and likely thinks he has years left in the sport as he’s “special” like many in the pro ranks think - until…
The increase level of hormones makes pros feel invincible but not many are level headed like Haney, Lee Labrada, etc.
Again another example of his lack of genetics is Moore is 37, little competitive contest wins, Haney was superior in genetics and retired at 31. Labrada age 33 of retirement and superior genetics.

Oh I’m not disputing one bit about guys like LaBrada and Walker and with no disrespect to Patrick, he’s not at their level. With those guys you’re talking about literally the top of 1/2% of the genetic freaks in bodybuilding. But as far Patrick making improvements, it’s not because he’s too old. His conditioning is hit and miss and IMO, is an easy improvement if HE can stay consistent. I think he know as we all know he’ll never be the biggest on stage but if he can nail his conditioning and be consistent with it and pick his shows wisely, I feel he has a few more wins in him. Older bodybuilders when they were his age kept on making improvements in every way, bringing up weak body parts, size, conditioning and yes, even symmetry.
Look at Kamal, I competed against him in 2007 and he was great then, now he’s won the Arnold and the Olympia in his late 40’s and in the top 3 at the Olympia for 5 years. It can be done

You can’t teach an old dog new tricks.
Glancing at his IG to make sure I don’t have to eat my words, his current pics look like the same pics of a few years ago. He doesn’t have the dedication or the gift of time and genetics to do anything else in the sport but hold on to what he has. He has no more wins coming his way as 2022 is going to be a lot more competitive as Covid lockdowns won’t be holding back competition from other states and other countries.
His current size is small and that’s not going to do it when you have guys like Iain who come in huge and conditioned.
He’s going to be the sports next Ken Jones. Small guy that hangs in there.

at least they will be in condition as they wont be able to afford to eat once the worlds economies start collapsing.

Oh wait, that's actually an accurate forecast. :( :-\

Honestly, what would you expect? Would you expect the reaction to be positive? Or when you insult someone, is your hope that you get no reaction at all?
-

Insult? The other guy just said "Talk is cheap". When you post stuff on a public profile on IG I guess you want reactions, don't you? ??? If you can't handle that reactions to your cocky announcements are exclusively ass-kissing you probably shouldn't post lol

hardly an insult. when you call yourself 'the future' be prepared for some blow-back.
plus its social-media. 1/2 positive, 1/2 negative
yup, best bet is to ignore comments
they love to feed t heir ego with the good comments
many cannot handle the bad/critics

In any context, telling someone "talk is cheap" is meant as an insult, specifically someone who is ostensibly a competitor on their social media profile. If you're trying to play off of what I said about insulting someone and receiving a negative reaction, that makes no sense. No one posts to social media with the expectation of negative reactions or the obligation to ignore insults.

It's not an insult, but it's "blowback" and he brought it on himself? ::) Like I said to previous poster, there's no situation where "talk is cheap" isn't meant as an insult. If he chose to ignore the comment fine, but he chose to respond and there's nothing wrong with that. It's not a meltdown. It's not even a sign of a fragile ego. There are times when returning a shot is justified.

i agree
my points were more generalized about social-media
best bet is to ignore both good and bad, though some people have fun with the banter
many others do not, melt-down and get depressed
its an odd world we live in now
