Title: JF Caron - 9x Canada's Strongest Man - Career Ending Injury.
Post by: Matt on March 31, 2022, 05:59:50 AM
Interview with Big Loz [Lawrence Shahlaei]:

Jean-Francois Caron is Canada's strongest man ever. Unless you buy into the myths surrounding his fellow French Canadian Louis Cyr, propagated by Jewish bodybuilding mogul/impressario Ben Weider.

JF had an amazing career, and was won Canada's Strongest Man from 2011 through to 2019, and would have won in 2020 had it not been for the contest cancelled because of fucking Covid health mandates to protect Canadians.

French Canadians have had an incredible run with Canada's Strongest Man and have won every CSM since 1996 when Newfoundland's Robert Ploughman won.

Oddly, no France Frenchmen have never made any noise at World's Strongest Man that I am aware of [I think bodybuilder Morgan Aste won Paris' Strongest Man]. But French Canadians have done very well, and JF was a consistent top 4-5 finisher many times, and had his best result in 2020, when he placed 3rd [his one and only podium finish].

Both myself and Big Loz thought JF would win in 2020, but Tom Stoltman placed 2nd, and Aleksii Novikov won [out of nowhere].

JF will be 40 in June, so I think it's safe to say he's done with Strongman.

This is a blessing in disguise, IMO. JF is the same age as Brian Shaw, and it would have been hard for him to improve on his 3rd place finish.

This injury may have ended his career, but IMO, it saved his life.

This is JF Caron's career ending injury:

I had to remove a bunch of my YouTube videos [set them to private] because YouTube kept giving me notifications for copyright issues due to background music playing on the radio.

This is from when JF Caron won the Thunder Bay Classic:

I was watching the Rogue event live when it happened, did not look good.
After 20 years of competing, its time I guess. Sometimes things like this are a sign, a life-saver.
He is now forced to downsize, and has lost 60 lbs already. He'll be healthier and has nothing to prove.

Great guy to watch though, likeable dude. He 900+ squat went up like an empty bar.

My thoughts exactly!

It was interesting to me when Loz said to him in the interview "You have the second half of your life to live."

It begs the question to me: do professional Strongmen have no sense of the actual risks they are putting their bodies through? Assuming JF's heart enlargement and other steroidal side effects are reversible, he may go on to have a long life like English Strongman Geoff Capes [pictured below - who said maybe eight years ago that he would compete again if the money's right].

But for JF to do that, he needs to stop competing NOW, slim down, and put the pro Strongman world behind him.

I hope he does.

^ Does anyone know if Taffin got a hold of that picture of Geoff Capes before it circulated online?  ;D

Haha I remember seeing the strongman on telly a few years ago and he was sitting there exactly like that, gut massive sticking out past his knees and they ask him if he would ever compete again and the stupid fat cunt replied “for the right money” fucking deluded arrogant fat old cunt

LOL!!!

I wouldn't have at this to his face, out of fear of getting a Will Smith-slap, but yeah...tell me about it.  ;D

It's so strange to me that he used to be not only a champion Strongman, but a champion shot putter, yet looks like this today. I wonder if Henda has ever bumped into Capes in the UK, lol.

HAHAHAHA!!!!

LOL!!!!!

I can't even say "right on cue" - it's like you read my mind in advance, lol!!

 ;D ;D ;D

Great stuff - this is why Getbig has been much of my joy during this miserable recent [and hopefully over soon] period of my life. Thanks Henda.  :)

I don't even understand this level of delusion. Some people literally get high off the smell of their own gas. It's like being surrounded by Yes Men so much makes them actually believe their bollocks.

For Capes to make such a comment denotes a Conor McGregor level of delusion. I was a fan of both of their performances during their prime, but they certainly seem to have some difficulty in updating their self-image to a more realistic one.

Absolute delusional cunt:

At least JF is aware that his Strongman career is now over.

Haha could say it as much as like mate as long as you are out of reach of him shuffling his chair forward a few inches and taking a single shot while he still sat on his chair as I’m sure that’s about the limit of the effort he is willing or able to expend in his current shape

Have never seen him nor would like to as I hate the fat stinking cunt. did see terry hollands at a motorway services on way home from Kent he was eating at the noodle bar then walked outside and lit up a cigarette

Lol! Let's see...hmm...NOPE.

However, assuming my training is uninterrupted, I feel I can best all my previous lifts. I think doing that will make me quite happy with myself.

I do think there is a replacement for JF - my city's strongest man is currently the world's 3rd strongest man: Maxime Boudreault!

He placed 6th at the recent Arnold Pro!

I think he will do very well - and perhaps even be the World's Strongest Man one day! Max just got a brand new YouTube channel - I wish him the best of luck!

I was glad to see Terry Hollands slim down! He was 6'6" and 390-lb, but got himself into bodybuilding shape. I spoke to him a little on Facebook - I found him to be a little PC for an alpha male - moaning about UKIP, or about anti-Muslim sentiment in England.  As if it's wrong for an Englishman to want to preserve his ancestral heritage. He even asked me to define what a White Englishman was.  ::)

Otherwise, friendly enough fellow. Here is a photo of him posted two days ago:

I don't think strongmen have any sense of anything other than strongman lol. Being big is their identity and that's it. Not sure they know anything else.

I liked watching WSM back then too.

Capes never really looked that impressive but was strong as hell.

Then once you heard his girly little voice it was even more strange.

Sounds like a libtard piece of shit.

In that all libtards are, IMO, assholes - yeah.

But Terry Hollands definitely struck me as a big libtarded for sure. I was like - how can a 6'6" and 390-lb be a self-hating White/Brit like this.

"What's a British person?"

LOL...fuck off.

To be honest, I don't know many big large alpha libtards, so I was a bit surprised.
