Title: Should There be an Age Limit for Pro BBers?
Post by: Lartinos on April 15, 2022, 07:05:59 PM
Whether it’s the “vaccine” or new airborne illnesses it’s pretty clear that pro BBing has changed forever.

These older guys have much lower chances of winning, but their chance of dying is much higher.

Should they require strict medical testing that will deter them from taking this seriously as a path?

If there is a cut off what age would make sense?

I like the idea but it will never fly.  Problem is that these guys don't come off any more.  I'd bet the average IFBB pro or even NPC top level amateurs consider 500mg's of test per week plus GH, slin and peptides "off".

Lmao, yep. "Bridging" between major cycles.

I've even heard some guys take 1g of testosterone per week in the offseason/indefinitely.

Another point - a lot of bodybuilders don't even turn pro until age 35. Phil Heath was almost 26 when he turned pro, and he was a phenom. The average pro is probably 30-35 for the open bodybuilding division.

Bodybuilder deaths are one of those topics that I feel just has no solution.

We live in a world where we seem to want to live in delusion about the serious risks of these things.
