Matt's crew from Thunder Bay visited Shaw.
At 8:10 Shaw does 445 (BNPP) Behind Neck Push Press:
To be fair, she is Canada's Strongest Woman right now, the literal female world record holder for Circus Dumbbell, where she hit 185-lb for a max single, and I am assuming she does some strong supplements, but regardless - it's been a bit of a psychological gamechanger for me to know that a woman is stronger than me.
The only thing good about the whole state of colorado - Is Brian Shaw!
What about Phil Heath?
I would bet Sam's on some gear. In her interview on Shaws podcast, her voice is kind of deep.
Seem like nice people though. Worlds strongest couple maybe? (Everyone needs some sort of title these days).
i beg to differ that feat was accomplished no more than an hour ago - by no other than Mike Otren
Mike O'Hearn is stronger (not) and natty (not)Fixed

Is that a girl in the video???
Should we put Brian Shaw in the Deadpool?
Very good question!!!
My intuition tells me - yes. This has to happen - and soon.
Right?
Yet when he talks, he just doesn't seem winded. He seems to be handling his 400-lb at 6'8.5" very well.
I would like to hear everyone's view on this one.
I met Mike Jenkins. His speech was fine too.
Insane.
Will Brian die?
Matt's crew from Thunder Bay visited Shaw.Shoulder surgery coming soon... ::)
At 8:10 Shaw does 445 (BNPP) Behind Neck Push Press:
So far, no one named "Brian" has made it out alive.
Coincidence or is it something deeper?
I knew I was right to fear for Brian's health.
I'm not the strongest guy around, but I'm definitely at the strong gym rat level. And for me to say I'd need to do a cycle or two to catch up to a woman - let's just say...she's Canada's Strongest Woman for a reason!
Seriously, (regardless of how much time he spends pedaling his assault bike) his extreme bodyweight and his extreme height do not bode well for a long life.
Combine the two, along with his drug use and he is not long for this world.
I doubt he will make age 50.
Cardio capacity has little effect on longevity.
Shorter and lighter are key characteristics of longevity.
Matt, I see that you are frequently mocked for your height.
I believe your are close to 5'9".
5'9" is the ideal height for bodybuilder and also for a powerlifter and Olympic lifter.
Also a very good height for longevity.
Matt - I smell an opportunity here
Phase 1 - Hit the gear, beat her lifts, then dye your hair purple and declare yourself a trans-woman!
Phase 2 - Enter the next competition she's in, smash her performance and go down in Thunder Bay history!
I've already seen you compete in pink, so you're halfway there! ;D ;)
Damn. This interview was after Mike Jenkins won the 2012 Arnold Strongman. He talks about not wanting to lose weight and he was around 400 lbs. A bit shorter than Brian Shaw. He was at this point married to Keri Jenkins. After his death around 1 year later in 2013 she hooked up with Brian Shaw and they have now a family with young boys.
One day you're fine, and holding the weight way [presumably], and the next day you're dead?
Bummer. :(
So far, no one named "Brian" has made it out alive.Yeah nobody named anything makes it out alive. I fear for everyone's health because we are all on borrowed time.
Coincidence or is it something deeper?
Thank you - I'm glad you said that - yes, I am 5'9".
And to be average in dimensions does tend to bode well for longevity.
You are right about Brian Shaw already being at risk in this regard, being that he is so tall.
I just don't get why, now that he just turned 40, he wouldn't want to live to 55 or 60.
In a video from about a year after his son was born [2016?] he said that he hopes when his son grows up, that his son will be proud of what he has done.
Does Brian think he will be around to see his son turn 15? ???
Does Brian understand that, in all probability, he is in the last ten years of his life?
Or does he know and not care?
If you know your Iron then you know how insane this EASY official clean and press by Ken Patera is. He POWER CLEANS it, then PRESSES it. He was the first and only American to also do 500 pounds this way. Mind-bending, if you really understand the game. This is OFF THE FLOOR !&t=1s&ab_channel=JimMoser
His income is based on being "Brian Shaw, WSM".Guys like Eddie and Thor have managed to continue to make money off their strongman fame, I see no reason Brian couldn't.
If he turned back into Clark Kent would his income decrease drastically? Very likely.
Social media popularity drives his income. It is fickle.
What would he do then? Farmer? Movie star like Arnold? Life Coach? Personal Trainer? Gym owner? Life insurance sales?
So, he has put himself in a tough position.

Shaw seems to have a ton of money these days, new homes (two) another new giant gym building (he just completed one a year ago) and is now finishing a bigger-improved one.
Hes doing well for himself...

Brian seems healthy to me and he carries his weight well. Because he is so tall (6'-8") the 400 lbs bodyweight is not as big an issue as someone who is 6' tall. But I think he will probably plan to drop some weight once he retires and maybe settle at around 300 lbs or so. He spoke with Jay Cutler about maybe trying out bodybuilding.

Jenkins also had DMAA in his system when he died. A lot of stories concentrated on steroid usage, but stims have contributed to a few big guys deaths as well.
It is with great sadness that we report that American strongman Mike Jenkins has died, age 31.
Confirmed by his wife, Keri, yesterday via Mike Jenkins’ Facebook page, the tragic news has been met with a flood of messages of condolences from his army of fans.
Here we go a long form (13 pages, first 3-5 might be the most interesting for this conversation) look at Jenkins death -
https://starkcenter.org/igh/igh-v12/igh-v12-n4-v13-n1/igh1204-1301p54.pdf .
All are still juicing hard.I would assume Brian will stay on to some extent. Point is, he's done well for himself and it wouldn't be far fetched to assume he'll continue in strongman in some capacity after he retires. His lifespan? Who knows? Big guys don't tend to live as long as little fellas.
So, is continuing with an unhealthy lifestyle a requirement for staying relevant?
If so, it only backs up the argument that to stay relevant and financially successful they have to stay on the unhealthy path.
After Jenkins died, Keri (Jenkins wife) married Shaw.
After Jesse Marunde died, Callie (Jesse's wife) married Nick Best.
Makes sense as that is their social swinging circle.fixed
After Jenkins died, Keri (Jenkins wife) married Shaw. Here she calls her mom after Jenkins won the ASC. Fucked up that he died so young and now his friend is the one that has a family with her. But then Shaw's sons would not exist if it was not for Mike's death. That's how life works sometimes. Same goes for Nick Best.

K, wait WHAT? - Keri was married to Mike Jenkins, he CROAKS from being 6'6" and 390-lb, and her way to cope with the PTSD and trauma of having a relationship with a giant hulk of a croaking man is to...find another giant hulking man who will croak quickly? ???I reckon she likes bigger and stronger dudes. Some women are wired that way. My wife also prefers taller and bigger guys and not really into dudes that are 5'-6". I myself am currently close to 300 lbs at 6'-2". I need to lose some weight though. A good weight for me is around 230-245 lbs.
For a moment, I thought you were talking about the wife of Jesse Marunde who started dating Nick Best after Jesse died. But no.
I guess she likes her men big and dead.
PS - bodybuilding after Strongman? ??? Does anyone know the name of Brian Shaw's favourite movie?
Every.No, but I wouldn't tell him.
Single.
One of these drug monkeys doesn't give a shit about their loved ones/family. All they care about is breaking some effing record. How would you like your hypothetical daughter to be married to one of the 300 pound ash holes? Dorks.
Every.bit of a tool yourself, squatting with no hands on the bar aint smart @1:55 it´s a shame Ironage is long gone. was good for you old retards.

Never understood why anyone would ever go out with a lass that had been with one of their mates? thought most blokes just wouldn’t even go there. A mate of mine started dating and eventually married a lass who another one of our mates was finger banging her in a nightclub the week before they started dating but I assumed he was exception since was dating and disgusting so couldn’t afford to be picky
:D
If that happened in the middle of the dance floor while she had her hands full - some awful cocktail in one hand and a fag in the other - while dancing to Agadoo, that would be fucking perfect!
No - one addition - he had to poke a hole in her polyester tights to hit the jackpot - that would make it the stuff of legend!
;D

Brian said he is extremely competitive, he can't even play a game with his family without thinking about winning. It's probably gonna kill him, he should have retired already.

Finger banging? Were they in 8th grade?
Was her name Mary Jane Rottencrotch?
That's sad in a way...I mean, in that [as you said] it's probably going to kill him.
Even if he wins five WSM titles and ties Mariusz Pudzianowski, then what? Win six, for the all-time record?
Oleksiy Novikov is, what, 25 or 26 years old, and already has a title? I could see him potentially win six more by age 35.
It is possible.
So I just wish Brian would retire, for the sake of his family. Also, you have to wonder how his wife feels, having previously experienced losing Mike Jenkins.
He’ll prob die and then she’ll have attended two funerals, then seek out another 6’6 400 pound man to repeat the process and go for a 3 peat
Road warrior animal did 445 bnp
Canada's Strongest Man JF Caron just sustained a career ending leg injury at the Arnold Pro, and I was HAPPY that happened. Caron has NO QUIT in him, but now he has to quit. And that's for the best, IMO.
It makes me sad that these guys don't think about the second halves of their lives, despite the numerous industry deaths - especially lately. :(
