Start at around :55 where he begins to talk about Jay.
Is this really why they fell out? Apparently they're better now but only recently as of this year. Their falling out is one of the better kept secrets in bodybuilding. Anyone have any insight?

I think that there was definitely more to it than that. Winning more Olympia’s than Jay would not be enough to cause Jay to not be Phil’s friend.
Maybe Phil found out that Jay was friends with Kai, and Phil started attacking Jay (along with Kai)

Maybe. I could see Jay being a little salty about putting Phil on and being partly responsible for his success, only to have been surpassed by him. The fact that it’s been kept secret probably means that it’s really boring ;D
It’s a little ironic that Phil complains in that video about kids today not showing respect to where they came from when he doesn’t acknowledge Jay’s role in his success.

The year that Phil passed Jay in Olympia wins was 2015. Phil won #5 in 2015, but he came in off that year. A lot of people felt that Shawn Rhoden beat Phil in 2015.
Perhaps Jay and Phil had a falling out because Jay told Phil that Rhoden should have won. Maybe Phil felt that Jay was just jealous.

Of the last four most recognizable Os, Jay is the worst but the most successful off stage, so what's his hangup? He has to know Ronnie Dorian and Phil are better than him. I think 4 is an overachievement for him. Minus injuries Ronnie should have won in 2006. For most people, he only really won 2.

Prime Jay vs. Prime Rhoden would be interesting. Prime Jay vs. Prime Phil = Phil.
I'm not wasting my time with Dorian and Ronnie because it's not worth it.

2018 Rhoden vs. 2009 or 01 Jay would be size vs. shape. I'll call the conditioning a draw. In 2009 Jay was 255. Rhoden was 240s. Not that big of a difference. I'm a shape guy but Rhoden's lack of triceps and average bdb hurts him vs. Jay.

One at the Nutrition Depot in Pompano that changed to a Vitamin Shoppe and the other at Southern States in the mid 2000s where he guest posed and then went out into the crowd and posed on top of my buddy’s chair right next to me. Let’s just say it was schmoerific (nh). I can’t remember if this was the same show Kamali was at and Dex called him “fat boy” when we brought King up to him
