Everyone would gather
On the twenty-fourth of May
Sitting in the sand
To watch the fireworks display
Dancing fires on the beach
Singing songs together
Though it's just a memory
Some memories last forever

Probably one of my favorite Rush albums, totally ass-kicking. Necromancer = Epic...
All the Worlds a Stage = Epic...

Its supporting tour came to be called the Down the Tubes Tour, as the album’s sales, critical reception and tour attendance fell off and down.
The next, 2112, is usually heralded as Rush’s “return” and attainment of an identity and independence.
Still, for me, Caress of Steel, is an incredible record. Some extremely heavy, “damp” and compelling shit on it.
Its predecessor, Fly by Night, the second, also resonates in a huge way with Fortress.
(The eponymous debut is a rockin’ little jam, but very primordial Rush. In no small measure, Peart’s arrival was the catalyst to the group’s achievement of legend.)
Excepting it, all seventies Rush is total BADASS.
Rush IS the granddaddy of what is now known as progressive metal.

Geddy has at least 2-brains.
Singing like that while playing bass riff's like that is amazing.
