Pretty impressive. Clairmont looked incredible. Flex Wheeler-esque. Legs were slightly unxer sized but Levrones conditioning was off a bit too.
Some guys I never heard of in that show. Guys never heard of again still look better than most pro's today.

Ray McNeil shoulders and calves looking suspect

The first thing that came to my mind is how good those guys look, and how they probably still stay covered up at expos.
It always amazed me how many bodybuilders at expos aren't wearing tank tops there. Kai Greene was very consistent being covered completely in a track suit.
Why hide your physique if you look that good?
Wouldn't you want to walk around in public looking the way those guys did in that video? IMO, it's a part of the body dysmorphia issues that bodybuilders have that they stay covered up even when they look their best.
Charles Clairmonte did look incredible there. And as for Ron Love - that dude's delts were out of this world. I always felt he had among the best delts ever. Although maybe he's like me, and his other parts are weak, making them stand out more.
But...if I had to guess, Ron Love did have some of the legitimately best delts in bodybuilding.

Clairmonte’s abdominals were one of the reasons that he won. His abs looked good even when he was relaxed.

Compare abdominals

Ray McNeil tore up the stage at 40:47 😂

I also think he looked his best when he first turned pro. But don't know that was his peak. That was a different era. By 97 the standards had changed so much and by 2002 they had changed even more. He was a great bodybuilder but Clairmont makes him look smooth here.
Ron Love was very underrated. He was tall and wide with a small waist. He was filled out too but his placings were always mid range. Judges seemed to overlook him.

Love was quite the accomplished bodybuilder. He won a few shows and placed top-10 at the Olympia multiple times, his last one being in 1992 (9th).

Agreed. He lost all the lines in his legs when he got bigger. '94 Mr. O was a good look too though

They're out of breath just sitting down for a podcast interview.

I suppose you're correct. I guess I never really saw him in the magazines that much. Being from Detroit Love was a legend there and a Detroit cop for a while. So I guess it seemed for a guy as big as he was and as good as he was he didn't seem to garner that top tier attention.

Last time I seen I believe he is a personal trainer at a Detroit power house gym
