I was obviously kidding (which I'm sure you knew). Ernie was really good. He did like David Wells. Turns out he was right. Wells went on to be $$$ in the big apple.

It was funny I remember listening to games and back then Ernie looked at Wells as if he was Verlander in his prime, as a kid I couldn't understand how Detroit could let him go.

Must have been around 95-96. I wish I could remember who we got for him but I'm sure in true 90's Tigers fashion we probably got fleeced.
