I know stuff like enenthate is oil based, but is the T powder or whatever chemicals? dont you have to have a base substance or do they just get it from some animals balls and add the ester?

No, lil' derrockie....
They don't beat the testpowder out of baby giraffe nuts...... :D
They now use synthetic testosterone derived from plant sterols.

thank you

There is a guy on another forum who is hell-bent on believing that all AAS comes from the nut sacks of various animals...he truly believes that they extract what they need to make test from the nuts of bulls ::)

In the beginning they used animal testes for testosterone, but that was before they realized that diseases and viruses could be transfered to humans that way. Similiar to GH, they used to extract it from human pituitary glands.

No joke--I think it was in the eighties when several California bodybuilders contracted Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease from infected cadaveric GH. The disease is almost uniformly fatal, leading to profound neurologic deterioration and death within months.
GH and AAS are now produced from purely synthetic compounds.

That's some pretty scary shit doc. I'm glad I live in the time period that I do.
Did you know anyone personally who contracted this?
-
Not personally, no, but when I was in med school at NYU I took care of a man who had it, and it was absolutely devastating. Like ALS to the 10th degree.

can we please change the subject

It was in the 50's or so when they were manufacturing testosterone from animal testes. And like Freaker said, the GH from pituitary glands was commonly done until just recently.
Suprised you didn't know this, baby Arnold.
I knew that before I even knew about AAS.

Hey bro, I learn something new about this world almost every day...at least I try to.
I did know that test from animals was used in developing research in the beginning, but I thought that the synthetic derivatives were developed pretty quickly...almost from the beginning.
When I'm wrong I'm wrong.
