What kind of nest is this? (Wasp, Bee, Hornet)??
I dont normally go on this one side of my house, but recently saw this when doing the lawn.
A guy is coming out this AM to get rid of it.
Brutal and True...

I believe Hornets

Wasps most likely.
Wait for sunset, when they are all inside and spray the hole with auto brake cleanner. They die in seconds.

Normally I would let it sit and die off (winter) but I have a Fiber-Internet guy coming tomorrow to install and work right under it.

hornets , I currently have the same one outside attached to my garage. I tried to take it down with a hose that just angered them and they built back bigger and better. ;D ;D ;D I went with an expert and they bombed the nest and will be back in a few days to remove it.
-
Paper Wasps.
Go up to it and bang it really hard with a stick GR. LOL ;D
NO DON`T JUST KIDDING !! :D
-
This guy went right up on ladder, pulled it off with his bee-suit on.
After the fact he sprayed some stuff, scraped it, all gone...
Funny seeing him attacked while wearing the suit, but they dont anywhere with that.
They tried like hell...

I had to haul a dead kangaroo out from under an elevated porch at my place. It had been there awhile. Reeked like wet death and was all bloated up. Full maggot loaded, 100 million flies buzzing. I tied a rope around its leg, manhauled it clear, lashed that bitch to the quad, and drug it out to the forest. Thankfully it held together as it bumped over rocks and down the dirt paths so I didn't have to deal with it in decomposed portions.
I felt butch as fuck.
Yes, I tried calling the ranger first but he just laughed at me.
There's shit you can spray on your house that will stop them and everything else from coming back. Idk if it'll kill you and everyone else in the house but it sure keeps the bugs away.

is that a bathroom window ? the caulking is gone to shit and there may be some water damage - you need to replace that bottom panel and redo the caulk with silicone - you put some quality wood on there and get everything dry - you won't have any nests in the future
is that a rental - are all the windows like that ? must be hell on your heating/cooling bills? What kind of nest is this? (Wasp, Bee, Hornet)??

No, thats some shitty plant-box window I'm going to replace (A one-off). All the windows in this house are new (< 5 yrs old). Including the large bay-window in the front.

Sometimes they're just determined bastards. I've got fieldstone and wasps build on it any 'ol place if I don't keep up with the insecticide spray, to say nothing of the million damn spiders.
Think it's bifenthrin I spray. Termidor is $ but it's the tits for ingound injection. This shit is totally DIYable with an inexpensive 12v pump and tank. I use my quad but you could wheel around a hand trolley setup. You'll apply chemicals more responsibly than some jackass contractor who doesn't care if he spills shit all over the place.
Bon appetit, Wes!

Next time just "ragdoll" it.

House isn't a rental and is fine. Normal, modest (smallish) house, paid off well-over a decade ago, also no car payments for a decade.
Nothing fancy here, that's not how I roll. Simple, clean, paid-for (and mine).
I have zero-debt, which I love.
I do upgrades as I feel like doing, and that flower-box window, yup, that's getting yanked...

nice pad and congrats on being a homeowner
plant some nice auto flowering cannabis plants in the box

Not sure if nice or not, but thx...
Always bought well below my means, never went for the "showy" stuff. (Cars, houses, etc).
I drive cars until they die on the road, and I have them towed away. (I buy 3-year old Honda C-RV's so they last quite a long time).
We all have those friends (or folks we know) that buy the biggest houses, expensive cars, but are always in debt. (Some go bankrupt).
And have way-less income, etc. The American way!! ???

I paid off my house and both cars a few years ago.Having zero debt as I am sure you can attest is the best feeling in the world.A large weight was lifted off my shoulders when that shit was paid for.

I thought Jane was going to let you live in her garage and work as a handyman?
I told her with your bad heart she shouldn’t pay you more than minimum wage.

This is likely true and may have worked, but if it didn't, imagine explaining it after. "Well, I posted a picture of the hornet's nest on a bodybuilding forum, and that's what this guy said to do. Seemed reasonable."

I dont normally go on this one side of my house, but recently saw this when doing the lawn.

What a shame. You don't know what kind of nest it is yet. You might be missing out on a business opportunity to market the pollen on bodybuilding forums.

I have a guy coming today to install a new fiber-optic internet line, and he would have been right under that nest.
I figured it was a good idea to get rid of it for him. ;D

I was going to but Shizzo undercut me offering to work for a bottle of vodka a day plus being allowed to practice his deep throat technique on any old dildos she throws in the bin

Got me some bald-faced hornet pollen "there".
Its a powerful anabolic "here"...

I saw a show on TV years ago and looked for it on YT to no avail.
It had these viscous wasps around 3-4 inches long with three plucked chickens propped up on pipes near their nest.......these muthafuckers stung those chickens hundreds of times and the stingers had to be close to an inch long......they said in a few years they would arrive in the U.S. from South America but they always say that......hoping they are wrong......these things were alienesque!
-
I thought you were joking about the name "bald faced hornet".
Never saw those before.

Never heard them called bald faced. We call them white faced hornets in CT. Mean suckers! Most bees won't mess with you unless you mess with them. Those hornets will attack you unprovoked. They don't like you coming near their nest. They can sting you multiple times. I just killed a nest for my Dad. I'm a man. I don't "call someone " lol

Yup, I was in no way, going up on a ladder and dealing with that thing. The one that was on my deck last month (size of a football) I just sprayed that sucka with a strong hose sprayer.
Easy and done...

This is how it starts.... the begining of the end... it began with just a few whispers... people mentioning it in conversation... pretty soon it was affecting people you actually knew...it begins with one guy but before you know it we'll all be dead from mass bald faced hornet pestilence within 5 years.

This. We had a bunch of yellow jackets make a nest in our backyard. I got stung once in my lat and even with two shirts on it hurt like a bitch! Yellow jackets don't die when they sting so they are motivated to attack. A bee will die because its body is ripped in half when it tries to withdraw its stinger.
Spraying water at yellow jackets won't do shit and they will attack and follow you even from your property lol! So I dressed up in winter clothing and went out at 2 am with wasp killer.
I set up a LED flashlight covered in plastic right by their nest. Then I sprayed a little wasp killer at the entrance of the nest. They came flying out in droves attacking the LED light.
It looked like a WW2 movie with those pilots attacking ships. I started spraying them from about 6 feet away as they sat down on the LED light. I must have killed about 50 the first night. I had to repeat it the second night. The key is to do it at night because they can't see well in the dark and will attack a light source. My strategy won't work in the daytime. I tried that first and they attacked me as I was spraying the nest with wasp killer. The night strategy decimated them!

And slowly and surely, they drew their plans against us...
