Just 'Buddy the Dog' (Yeah Buddy) and 'Lucy the Lizard'. (She's just a large Leopard Gecko).

my strangest pet was a 5 foot long iguana, when it got too big we gave it along with it's cage and heat lamp to a local high school. it was a favorite and had the run of the school it even had a newspaper article written about it. ;D

Are gerbils considered unusual? Asking for Taffin while he’s away

I was going to buy my son a chameleon until I found out how big they get. Got him fish instead, they died, no pets now.

Not any more but used to have a cayman croc and American alligator, got rid of croc when he hit 3.5-4’ and about same for gator. Croc smashed his aquarium with his tail and it was time to go. Also had some chinchillas when I was a kid.
Also have a king cobra in my pants.

Thats how we got into these things. Kids brought them home from school and we took care of it for the summer.
When school started and we gave them back, they wanted their own. Of course Im stuck taking care of it, feeding it, etc.
Shes sort of cool, but I wont get another. A bit of a pain to care for. Meal worms, crickets, etc... (food)

5 planted aquariums with some pretty awesome fish.......been into tropical fishkeeping since 1987.............always had several tanks no matter where I lived.

I don't know anyone that has had one of these, but I hear they are high maintenance.
