Signed up to get one in a couple weeks. One unplanned pregnancy is plenty ;D
Due to budget concerns, I’m getting it done at the Planned Parenthood for the cheap. They’re quoting me ~$800, private clinics were $1800+. Just gonna be regular scalpel & forceps vasectomy, no fancy “needleless” procedure.
Aside from this giving me the heebie jeebies (for which I’ll pop a Xanax the day of), my only concern is the “post vasectomy pain syndrome”. I think the official numbers say it’s 1-2% of all patients, even if the real number is higher I think the odds are in my favor.
Any getbiggers go through with this? Sharing your experiences—good, negative, or neutral—would be appreciated 8)

I was supposed to get one right before COVID. The operation was canceled as a result.
I haven't rescheduled.
Same. The thought gives me the heebie jeebies.
-
I had the “needleless” procedure 10 years ago.
The entire procedure took 12 minutes (the Doctor timed it). It was sore during the procedure and there was mild soreness for 2 to 3 days after. I never had to take any pain meds. I've had no problems since.
It was fully covered here in Canada except for the clips, which cost me $70.
Good luck! Nothing to worry about.
:)

I will never allow that to happen

Huge mistake. Pay the extra money and get it done properly by a real specialist, if you want to avoid long lasting complications. Are your balls really worth that little to you?

Glad you got it done, Oak, so you can't reproduce anymore.

Why would you need this if you are a proud Virgin? ;D

I think hankins has just been castrated in a couple of other threads

I had it done about 5 years ago. I did it at a urologist without anesthesia so I could leave when done. I didn’t think it took more than 20 minutes. I went to lunch afterwards and had a beer. My wife had to drive me but I didn’t have any complications or anything and really don’t think about it other than my wife is off birth control and I don’t have to worry about having another kid at an advanced age.

Exactly! Same here we had two kids a boy and a girl. This seems like the perfect family to me. Originally, my wife wanted 5 kids, probably because she was one of five.

How old is your wife?

Absolutely outstanding Good News
Best Thing He's Ever Posted or Done in His Miserable Life.

How old is your wife?
41 same as me. And just because her and I can still make babies, we’ve got no business having any more. If we’d have started earlier I wouldn’t have minded having 4-5 kids but what I got is enough for me.

Why would a proud virgin worry about pregnancy?

Imagine a tiny pain down there that nevers go away. What will it do to your boner when you are having sex, or even sleep.
I had some lumbar herniated disks, and when the pain came during the act, my dick fell hard. Dont know if it is comparable, but the thought of it makes me stay away from vasectomy. Specially a cheap one like yours.
-
Don't fuck with your dick.
You know what I mean.

you have a good point. the urologist who will be performing it practices at the local fancy hospital and is well reviewed, I didn't get to ask about the advantages of the "scalpel-less" approach .. I figured t was just marketing. Maybe I should look into it more
I'm two years into starting my own business and dealing w child support and court costs so Im saving money where I can. Seems like lots of the pricier clinics snooker you in w fancy clinics, hot receptionists/nurses, and a bunch of other stuff I'd rather not pay for. Its a quick simple procedure so I think I'll be ok BUT you've got a point .. Not a good idea generally to cheap out on surgery

Hey, different strokes. I prefer to take my contraception into my own hands rather than trust the female. Did that up until now and now I have to pay child support for 20-some years ;D

I've rethought it and doing it makes total sense for single men to avoid financial entrapment.

don´t be a Jackass :D

Exact same here. It helps that I have never been a big fan of the cream pie. I've been almost exclusively using the pull out method since I was 16. The 2 times I left it in my wife resulted in 2 pregnancies.
-
if you have leakage, wipe the tip off with tissue. you should be fine. works every time to avoid unwanted preg

Pumping them in the pooper works as well.

ain´t no one cutting off my jizz ...
-
Not much of a fan of the shitpipe, myself. Perhaps I neglected to meet sufficiently broken in ass sluts but it was always a delicate operation, and it's not a hog thing.
More thrill than goodness imo.
-
Nbd, minimal pain/swelling

I would never. EVER do that. I'd stop having sex before I do that.

Crazy, I always finish inside.
Side note. At least I’d never have to worry running a train with you ;D

Is it odd that I thought of this thread this AM as I was spraying my wifes back?? :D

On, not in, is weird. And that's coming from someone who sometimes doesn't finish at all.
Give the poor girl a treat.

No scalpel vasectomy. With a no-scalpel vasectomy, your doctor will need to numb the skin of your scrotum. Some doctors use traditional local anesthetic administered with a needle. Other doctors offer no-needle numbing, which uses a spray to apply topical numbing medicine. Anti-anxiety medication is also available if you want it.
Instead of making an incision into the scrotum, your doctor will make a small puncture into the skin then stretch the skin gently to see inside. They will then use the same technique as a traditional vasectomy to cut and seal the vas deferens. The puncture closes immediately after the procedure without any need for stitches.
Recovering from a No-Scalpel Vasectomy
The real benefits of a no-scalpel vasectomy come in the recovery period. The recovery time for a traditional vasectomy is close to a week, with lingering soreness, swelling, and bruising. After a no-scalpel vasectomy, most people can resume normal activity levels after only a few days. There is less bruising and swelling.
No matter which type of vasectomy you have, it will not be fully effective until several months after your procedure. When you have your vasectomy, the sperm that were in the position to be ejaculated can live for many weeks. You could ejaculate them and cause a pregnancy during that time.
Your doctor will ask you to have a follow-up appointment 90 days after your vasectomy to check for any remaining sperm. Use a reliable method of contraception until you know that you're no longer ejaculating live sperm.
Vasectomies are very reliable as a form of birth control. Fewer than 1% of vasectomies fail.

In the late 90's while my buddy was plowing this black chick from behind, I was plowing her face. I drenched her face whilst he spackled her asshole. We played it safe. No incidental contact. No runaway splashing. Only issue was we almost fucked it up because we had a hard time not laughing since we were looking at one another. Sadly, he passed away 11 months ago today.

It's not gay if your balls don't touch. :-X

Not gonna lie, i was getting cold feet and was thinking about postponing but i got an email telling me they were gonna discount 100% of the cost :o idk if it was end-of-year tax chicanery or what, but i wasnt gonnna ask questions to have them change their mind ;D so yeah, total cost: $0
Anyways i was really nervous throughout the whole procedure despite taking 10mg Valium. The actually procedure wasn’t too bad, maybe like 3/10 physical pain when they cut the vas deferens and then when they did the electrocautery to seal them off. The pain would radiate up into my stomach, kinda like when you get kicked in the nuts. The mental aspect was by far the worst though, I asked to squeeze the nurses hand and she was kind enough to oblige ;D
Took like ten minutes all told and I was chatting w the doctor and nurse throughout. I was shaking and breathing heavy for like an hour afterwards, but that was all just mental stuff.
Very little pain now and I’ll take it easy for the next two days but the doctor encouraged me to listen to my body with regards to the amount of activity I could tolerate. Hopefully I can get back to work on Saturday.

In america, the family court system heavily favors the mother. It really sucks to have to deal with all that when all you wanna do is be a good father to your child and raise them right. My baby's mother and i have a pretty good understanding but there's no way i wanna risk this happening again.
Why leave the contraception up to the woman? I'm taking that power back into my own hands.
Definitely not strong enough to be celibate ;D
