From what I understand Canada health care system is shit too, in that it takes forever to get surgery and shit like that. I hate that if you have an injury here in the states, they make you do PT and if you don’t get better then you get an MRI. If you can afford it, just pay for the MRI out of pocket. I did that a few years ago. And the crazy thing is, insurance shows them at around $3000 but I paid out of pocket and it was $775. I gave that to my doctor and they were able to see the injury that I would’ve otherwise walked around with until I was dead.
Does anybody actually have it right?

One of the biggest scams in existence. Healthcare, the insurance for it, the costs, etc...
(Unless youre a non-vaxxed illegal of course)...

Corporate hospitals are in general pretty shitty, but what you have here are two doctors fucking over patients. The hospital just contracted them for service, but no administrator is going to question a cardiologist on whether a patient needs surgery or not as long as all the qualifying diagnosis are met.
Understand the insurances also covered these procedures and they also have a process to ensure the diagnosis justifies the treatment. So these Drs were doing all the proper (mis)diagnosis codes prior to the surgeries.
Tenet had the deep pockets so they got the big judgement. The Drs got 21 mil and was likely all they had.

The UK is the same situation in terms of getting help. I had tibial plateau surgery July last year. I'm still waiting on physio knowing full well the physio isn't the issue - they also know I'll need to go back under for another surgery for manipulation and scar tissue removal. But to go through the motions means I'm waiting around for the process. Same thing with getting anything these days: oh try this nasal spray for a month to clear up your nose - even though it's probably polyps that need extraction but before that the spray - then maybe some antibiotics - then an appt with a specialist to see what's up there.
Why not go private? Well because I refuse to pay into a system where Mehmet can jump on a fucking dinghy and come here and receive free hotel, meals, social housing, pocket money, dentist, doctor etc and someone like me that pays into the system gets shafted while the rest of us pay for these parasites. No thanks. I'm taking back what I've paid, and more.

Great post.
To answer your question:
If you're unemployed, Canada's system is better than the USA's.
I would argue that the working poor are better off under Canada's system too.
But IMO, anyone middle class - possibly even lower middle class - and over are probably better off under the American healthcare system.
I am almost 100% certain that being in my income and health status, I would be better off with a private American plan.
Both models ranked similarly in the 2000 WHO global national healthcare rankings. I think Canada was #32 and the USA was #33.
Consider:
Toronto had three lithotripters last I checked. Chicago, a similar sized American city, had something like 400.
Canada provides care to people like me who could easily afford it on my own, and literally doesn't allow me to buy better care. This is especially aggravating when the only healthcare I wish to buy is preventative. But no. That's illegal here.
Basically, Canadian healthcare is great to stabilize you if you are dying [accidents, or late stage disease]. But if you just want to be healthy to try to prevent being in that spot, it's kind of hard to get appointments.
My doctor explicitly told me not to come back until age 40. That's when I was 32. In a way, that was nice to hear. But it's also because he genuinely didn't have the time to see me.

The UK government wants to reduce the waiting lists by using NHS money to pay for private care for people
The private hospitals are staffed by NHS doctors and Surgeons moonlighting.
They do NHS work and private work on different days.
This is just moving tax payers money into the private sector
The NHS will not exist in 5 years.

I'm not sure how it works but I heard the other week it's a lot of elderly patients in hospital beds they're trying to move into private bed facilities (not sure if that's care homes or what they mean tbh) because it's 5x cheaper than taking up beds in the hospitals. Probably people that are waiting on care home places because they don't have the correct facilities at home anymore since the last trip?
-
with all the technological advancement I wonder why the healthcare system is worse now in the western world than 50 years ago. Hmmm...

they could put those people up in hotels instead of importing shit from Dover.

You're not wrong. It's absolutely shocking how bad things have got. You know it's bad when little villages with 500 people in them are having their 4/5 star local mansion luxury hotels taken over. They tried to hide it from the conservative villages but they ran out of hotels. I think now it's affecting Heather + Roger's retirement tranquility: things are beginning to turn a tide. But it's 20 years too late.

Just don't get sick and everything will be fine.

Doesn't really exist as a functioning entity now?
At this point they are more a govt employment entity that exists to deny care for people.
It's always on the verge of collapse.

Yeah. Notice how the media never whines about the NHS being in trouble when it comes to discussing immigration. There's never cries of "Save our NHS" when discussing illegals. It's always linked with false left/right dichotomy political spending decisions rather than resources being taken up by interpreters, parasites, etc.

Once a government bureaucracy is set up it never ends.

The parallels between this and the trans agenda and the vaxx agenda. Medicine and surgeries can be profitable. And who's to say whether it's necessary or not? You? Your Dr., the government?
Performing unnecessary surgeries because the you'll bill the insurance, who will pay, is profitable. Mandating a useless-even harmful- vaccine was so profitable for pharma- you know pharma, the great guys who brought us the opioid crisis? Those wonderful well meaning people. All you need are some corrupt law makers with investments in a few key companies and voila.

I feel extremely sorry for anyone who has a healthy lifestyle and ends up in the hospital anyway

I recently watched a documentary about a surgeon who became terminally ill and could no longer work.....he couldn`t exsist on the $5000.00 dollars a week he was receiving, because his former weekly income as a surgeon was between $70,000 and $80,000 per week.
He ended up shooting himself in the head and dies.
Also they briefly touched upon the thousands of unecessary surgeries performed yearly.

So true, which is why this will never happen to your average medicaid ghetto bunny ;D
