What people don’t seem to under understand when they call for endless regulation is that the regulators have to come from the industry to be regulated as the dopes in congress don’t have the expertise to do this. The end result is invariably regulatory capture.
Does anybody really think that the FDA and CDC are anything other than hand maidens for big Pharma?

It has actually underperformed the market in the past 5 years but it’s one of a number big Pharm companies that’s worth over a 100 billion. So, regulators always have the carrot of getting some bullshit VP gig with a big salary.

But at the beginning of Covid it was around $30 a share and went up to around $58 in 2 years so that is a nice return for the Congress.

There was never anything special about the stock price performance. I know it’s tempting to look for things like that but it just didn’t happen.
