Title: Asked my new good friend chatgpt to calculate volume disparities between arms
Post by: karasan on February 24, 2023, 07:01:31 PM
Using the same formula as before and assuming a constant arm length of 12 inches, we can estimate the arm volume for different upper arm circumference sizes as follows:
Arm Volume (in cubic inches) = (Pi / 4) x (Arm Circumference in Inches)^2 x Arm Length in Inches

16-inch arm: approximately 433 cubic inches
17-inch arm: approximately 490 cubic inches
18-inch arm: approximately 554 cubic inches
19-inch arm: approximately 625 cubic inches
20-inch arm: approximately 703 cubic inches
21-inch arm: approximately 789 cubic inches
22-inch arm: approximately 882 cubic inches
As you can see, each additional inch of upper arm circumference leads to a progressively larger increase in arm volume, with the largest difference between adjacent sizes occurring between the smaller sizes (e.g. the difference between 16-inch and 17-inch arms is larger than the difference between 21-inch and 22-inch arms).

Ofcourse generally plus 20 inch arms are on taller individuals, which brings their volume to even higher levels.

Using the same formula as before, but for chest volume, and assuming a constant depth of 9 inches and length of 24 inches, we can estimate the chest volume for different chest circumference sizes as follows:

45-inch chest: approximately 7,997 cubic inches
50-inch chest: approximately 11,780 cubic inches
55-inch chest: approximately 16,079 cubic inches
58-inch chest: approximately 18,309 cubic inches
As you can see, each additional inch of chest circumference leads to a progressively larger increase in chest volume, with the largest difference between adjacent sizes occurring between the larger sizes (e.g. the difference between 55-inch and 58-inch chests is larger than the difference between 45-inch and 50-inch chests).

wasn't there a guy named Luke on here that did these calculations around 2010?

but i agree, a 22 inch arm is a lot more than 10 percent larger than a 20 inch arm.

just like a 14 inch pizza is twice as large as a 10 inch pizza.
