Serge was one of the best.. IS one of the best.
Unique guy as well. Liked his aphetamines, would train for 6 hours, eat once a day, etc..
This modern day fad of stuffing massive calories and bloating up, is non-comparable compared to a look like Serge had. (Plus the longevity).
Yet, the morons still do it. ::)

Pretty similar in feeling to Adderall. Yeah it's absolutely speed

I wonder if his (ex?)wife Jaqueline is still alive. I remember seeing her with him the magazine's and in Robert Kennedy's books from the 70's/early 80's. I think she a lawyer or something or that could have been a fake story. She was HOT.
-
To my mind, the best physique in bodybuilding.
Was he really still posing to the theme from Exodus in the late 80's or was that just an overdub?
-
When you consider his longevity, he's arguably the greatest from the golden era.
He also gave the most advices from his time on the boards.
It's a shame how it ended, the rumour was it might have been insulin shot related as he was trying to get back into peak shape.

Yeah, I remember there was a lot of infighting amongst his family, accusations, conspiracies etc...
But it was sad. He started posting on the bodybuilding forums being very generous with his time and advice. Looked to still be in incredible shape. Then he was dead.

Some say his daughter killed him.....I have no clue about the incidentals but I did hear that.
-
His muscles looked so real very functional fashionable / aesthetic. (No Homo)
WoooSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I've never used it. But I'm told it's similar to concerta which is similar to adderall etc...
A lot of the golden era bodybuilders used amphetamines.
Mentzer, Nubret, Coe used amphetamines too. Don't know all the guys who did but have read that it was pretty popular back in the 70's and 80's. I would guess it's popular now too.
There's all sorts of pre-workouts that are sold containing ingredients that aren't too far removed (chemically) from amphetamines. DAA, DMHA and all the names they go by.

Ephedrine was huge 20 years ago.

Oh hell yeah... ephedrine, caffeine and aspirin I believe was the rage. If you got your hands on a good painkiller too. Lookout!

Does anyone know what his stack, diet, training was like? Dude is before my time but wow that was an amazing physique.
-
Amphetamines?
DVD’s?

He was reputedly very strong but preferred to train with moderate weight and high reps.. Only ate one or two meals a day and it was mostly meat.
I'm sure his routines, diet etc are easily fpund online. Who knows what his stack was back then. The same shit everyone else took.

Did Weider ever get hold of him? Maybe he had Serge bare backing Betty whilst he jerked off in the closet?

Strong possibility. Serge may have given Betty the raw, no condom, no pulling out principles of peace.

The book of condolence

In the 1977 film Pumping Iron, things might not have looked very professional if Schwarzenegger and Ferrigno had just fought for second place. Maybe that's why the title was assigned to the Austrian and Nubret was placed behind him. However, many critics and fans still claim that the real Mr. Olympia 1975 should be named Serge Nubret. Following this incident, the Frenchman, who died in 2011, never competed under the IFBB umbrella again, instead founding his own association in 1976, the World Amateur Bodybuilding Association (WABBA), which still exists today. He might have won the Mr. Olympia title one year later if he'd just kept trying.

Serge was an active member here.....just do a search of his posts....he shared a ton of great stuff right here on get big.

Another dumbass whiner. He lost because Arnold destroyed him. Then he fucked up in not playing the game and ended up a nobody pumping out reps all morning in an obscure gym in Orange County with Rory Leidlemeyer and some dude named Kenny (who I thought had won the Cal but can't remember).
And I thought the real knock on Nubret was that he'd never be allowed to win the O because it was too well known that he made porno movie in France and thus would be an embarrassment to the sport (kinda like Kai Grapefruit)

Very rare to see exceptional chest AND triceps, usually it’s one or the other (or none)

Right, I remember reading insanely high training volumes. Like 1000 reps of sit-ups, stuff like that. Opted for high volume training in lieu of cardio. 1kg of horse meat daily, rice and beans for diet.

Back then everybody trained abs almost daily, with hundreds and hundreds of reps.....same thing with calves.
-
I remember he was always advocating for activity. Keep moving, stay active, keep lifting, minimal rests between sets, he did so many sets and reps with little rest it was an aerobic workout with weights. I'm paraphrasing but thats how he described it.
He compared the modern bodybuilders ( modern in 05, 06, 07, 08, 09, 10 etc) to caged chickens and cattle being bulked up on hormones and feed.

Gotcha`....just kidding my brother! :)
Brutal but true.
