Title: Has the fitness industry recovered from the covid-19 ruse?
Post by: dunkin donuts on March 21, 2023, 04:43:26 PM
I always felt like a lot of people stopped caring about fitness and bodybuilding after turning into shut-ins "working" from home and only leaving the house once a week or less. Did "the industry" ever recover from it? I also noticed that it was near impossible to find video footage of the olympia, have people given up on trying to upload crappy livestream in 360p to youtube?

Not quite, some gyms require that you get the clot shot or you can`t workout there.  :(

On a sidenot, during the height of the scamdemic I went to Wal-Mart to buy a bunch of solid pre-set dumbells..........all sold out for weeks.

I started doing Peleton at home and mostly body weight exercise and dumbells to 20lb. Started back in the gym in January and have actually been surprised with the results. I thought I’d been maintaining well with the last three years of my regiment but I put on some size now that I’m lifting again. Strength is slower, I figured muscle memory would have me bounce back, but maybe I’m just old.

Gyms are busy round my end

I've yet to recover from both the lockdown induced break from training and getting covid

I found on my return to the gym my strength levels quickly were restored and muscle but the tendons and ligaments didn't keep up and so I have injuries now

And that was with a measured return where I made sure not to push myself too hard

Honestly anything that gets people to actually wipe down the equipment when they are done is great. Covid might be exaggerated but Mersa is still very real

next step: castration required on top of wiping down equipment. still great according to your logic

Wtf are you talking about? I think people should wipe down equipment because I got mersa from a commercial gym once and spent 3 days in the icu lucid on an IV  antibiotic drip. I never said anyone should get vaccinated I am not vaccinated. I don’t think it’s a good idea. There is a difference between people being sanitary and wash their ball sweat off the equipment vs requiring them to chop off their balls. However yes absolutely everyone should wipe their sweat off equipment before the next user. If you don’t you are nasty people washing their hands and equipment more and staying home when they are sick Va spreading germs is a good thing
