As we know, small man John Little, who has a major hard on for his dead boyfriend mike mentzer, uploads vids of mentzer (and nothing else) interviews and quotes making him out to be some great guy. The fact is mentzer was anything but. Little John has uploaded yet again another vid of mentzer entitled "mike mentzer, the rise, the fall, the redemption" lol
Here's the vid
Of course, the comments section is filled with mentzer cock sucking loving fan boys praising Little John for another "great" vid on mentzer. Double lol
However, one comment stood out from the baying hit sheep that actually told the truth about mentzer. This comment will soon be deleted by Little as he doesn't like facts so here it is.
"No offense John, but your tribute is misplaced, as Mike created nothing revolutionary, and became a sexual predator of men at the end of his life when he was fat, a chain smoker, and on multiple drugs.
He also spent time in a mental hospital for his transgressions against society, which included streaking naked in public.
I know this because one of my former friends was an "inmate" with him.
I have the standing to tell you this, as I re-established the "Heavy Duty" trademark for Joanne Sharkey after she lost control of it, and did it for ZERO compensation. My name and phone number are still on the USPTO registration # 5133166 if anyone cares to research it.
Please let sleeping dogs lie, and stop trying to portray him as something better than he was.
Mike was NO HERO, and at the end of his life, A HORRIBLE HUMAN BEING!
You should put "SEXUAL PREDATOR" on any any "HEAVY DUTY" items you sell!"
Facts hurt.

Calm your tits.

why the fuck would anyone care this much?
Op is just as crazed as the person he is calling out
-
Mentzer fan boy I am not, but I am currently drinking a glass of warm piss while reading this thread. That’s one of the few things he was right about. That and amphetamines

Can't beat a few cheeky glasses of warm piss with an Adderall on the weekend.

And be sure to brush your teeth before, not after. You want the piss breath on you throughout the day, so people know that you mean business. This is why Mentzer had a flavor saver on his upper lip

Your own piss fellas? Because I'm just wondering if tranny piss is more anabolic? (Thinking of the 'Big Lenny Shake')

So we have the "streaking in public" claim, but can anyone confirm the "directing traffic while nude" claim? Because the idea of a deranged Mike Mentzer bringing order to the world by directing traffic whilst nude and hitting side tricep poses between cars is HILARIOUS to me.

Met Mike in the mid-90s. Just inside the lobby of Venice Gold’s
Guy was out of his mind rambling and looked like shit.

Agrees.
And cheers!

Last I checked Mentzer is still dead. His "legacy" was/is/remains tarnished by his own actions after the '80 Olympia.
I thought he was a great bodybuilder but he obviously suffered from an diagnosed precursor to WIITIFUBS: "Whatever It Is That Is Fucking Up Bhanky Syndrome".
An ego fed a constant diet of meth and sour grapes.

Mentzer had some mental problems, yes, but this sport sends people to an early grave
It seemed like 20+ professional bodybuilders died in the past 3 years. I remember that deaths were being reported nearly on a weekly basis
I question the sanity of all bodybuilders who continue to compete.

He would have completely melted down on here. Can you imagine what he would have done when Squad Father or Adonis started tearing him apart?

I really dug his books but looking back his analogies regarding muscle building are a bit weak. When one observes people who have experienced serious hypertrophy(e.g. gymnasts) they more often than not share a common training factor - volume.
Now that he's long gone folks are trying to turn him into something of a genius which he clearly wasn't.

I feel sorry for the guys from that era who fell for it. Must have wasted years.
My thing was doggcrapp training back in the 2000s. Permabulked my teens and early 20s.
I'd have been much better off doing high volume and staying lean.

I changed my mind after I talked to various trainees(sports to bodybuilding), some more experienced than others, and most stated that they were their biggest when they did a high volume of work on a regular basis.

Mentzer Diet
25% protein gonna 25% protein

On paper, Mentzer's original HIT makes sense. Brooks Kubik's Dinosaur Training does too but I recall being so depleted I didn't want to train again for a week or more. And that from 2 or 3 HIT sets or a single "death march" set such as 50 reps with 315 on the squat.
Whatever works for each of us is best for each of us. I know that with PEDs, most any reasonable training method will produce astounding results and the only difference is that off the drugs you lose it all much quicker than a natural who stops training will. But yes, we still lose the muscle. But we also still train. ;D
And regardless, it is difficult accepting being a "regular" person again. ;D
-
the best is how the Mentzer ball hangers think he was some kind of genius because he quoted Ayn rand .
Mike was failed human with some talent to build muscle that's what it should say on his tombstone
-
I think it all comes down to progressive overload, AKA getting stronger overtime, idc if you do high intensity, high volume, heavy duty, dogg crap, a combination of high volume/high intensity, etc, it's all about getting stronger overtime while gaining weight (muscle) progressively, at the end of the day, Arnold looked better than Mentzer in 1980, no disrespect to Mike though, he was great, and looked great

Dinosaur training fucked me up. I eventually got to doing all singles after doing 5x5, 54321, 321 for a full year and a half. My shoulders ached constantly and I couldn't lift one arm over my head for sometime. I thought I was permanently fucked physically but after a few years recovered.
Brooks wrote another book on calisthenics and sold it for over $200 and then after was trying to convince men over 50 to go into Olympic weightlifting. ::)

Well, 11 of of the 16 competitors from the 1980 Olympia are still alive,as of 2023.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1980_Mr._Olympia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1980_Mr._Olympia)
Of the 4 that have died other than Mentzer , two of them - Chris Dickerson and Ed Corney- died in their 80's . Only the other two - Dennis Tinerino and Casey Viator- passed away somewhat prematurely ,dying in their 60's.
Seems, in dying before hitting 50,Mentzer was a bit of an outlier for his bodybuilding contemporaries.

He lived a shorter, more intense life. The optimal time it takes to live a full life is 49.9 years anything beyond that is pointless.

His brother croaked the next day.
That may have been suicide

Superbly done, sir!

Kid asked his grandad to make a noise like a frog
Grandad says "why"
Kid says "my dad says we can go to Disneyland when your grandad croaks"

Does anyone know was John Little "intense man" who used to post on ironage?

Mentzer was ok, but he was no Warrior!

"Intense man" lol 😆
Seriously, there was a guy on iron age whose handle was Intense man. And he got awfully defensive if anyone criticized Mike. But iron age had pretty tight guidelines on positive talk and keeping it respectful. So it never got too far out of hand.
-
That may have been suicide
I think you are probably right. He would have died soon after anyway without his brother's kidney.

No that wasn`t Little......the guy used to post on my old board but I can`t remember his name but no not John Little.
