Sounds like a bunch of tall stories.
Claims he spent 50k a year on food. Thats $137 a day!
In todays money he's claiming he spent $200 a day on food. I stopped watching after that.
-
Jay is very successful. He could be making 200K a month

Yes that's right.
He said he spent $100,000 a year just on deep tissue massage therapy.
He may have been rounding up from $70,000 or something.
I believe he said both in the same DVD. Maybe the All Access DVD?

How is that a lot if you eat a lot of quality meat and fish everyday? I spend around $50+ a day easily on food alone and I don't even buy steaks.
-
Does this mean Cutler is now the "Foot King" and the "Pec Bounce King"? Ewwwww...Gross.
-

You say it's not a lot, but only spend a 1/4 of what he's claiming.
I did bodybuilding grocery lists, budget, value, organic, gourmet etc for fun cos I'm sad like that. It would legit be a struggle to spend $200 a day on bodybuilding foods, especially buying in bulk and at discount like he claims he did. A whole cow, 30 dozen eggs (a case) etc.
Watch 10.30 onwards. $50k is horse shit.
-
The 200k a month I can believe. He's got tons of foreigners that ride his jock, and still has endorsements, and his fingers in a lot of pies.
That 50k a year he was talking about was in mid-late 90's money, that's way off. It sounds like he just threw out a number. Even at 4-5lbs of meat a day, it doesn't jive with the time frame.
For those that want to hear the food conversation, start 10 minutes in.
-
Cutlers supp company does very well.
He has a lot of real estate.
He has a weed business, etc.
Guy knows how to make money...
-
Cutlet is made for life - time to give back to getbig which has been vital to his success.
Jay... you owe Mr. Avidan a lot of money.
-
That’s a ton of money, I don’t really believe it. Mostly because the people I’ve known who made that kinda money were never open about it. Plus, Jay has had so many failed business ventures I’m not sure he has much business acumen. Remember Beats by Jay? Swollen Monkey Clothing? His fucking “performance enhancing mouth guard”? LOL
On the other hand, the margins for supplement companies are so high that it wouldn’t take too much in the way of gross sales to yield that kind of income. But then I have to wonder - why doesn’t his company sponsor any other athletes?
Hard to say .. but given that he has a history of lying to make himself look better—with regards to his drug protocol—I don’t see why we should take him at his word here either.
-
I believe it
He's one of the more business-savvy bodybuilders
Compare with Kali Muscle, Sami the Cocksmith, Flex or Coleman

My total expenses are just under £26 daily. I spend £4.2 daily on food. ;D
Although gas is up to £1.04 per litter here now, so they may be a bit higher now.
I live very modestly, and always buy slightly used cars, to not be burdened with car debt.
My kids are all extra...but I worked hard to get my basic expenses down so low. Once I get a high efficiency heater for my home, my expenses should go down to just under £24 daily.
I like living cheaply though. Jay seems to enjoy living large.
My dream was always this:
-
I easily believe it. Bodybuilding is basically his side gig. He owns a ton of properties. He is very smart with his money

A very good capitalization rate for a real estate portfolio that size would be 10%. $200k/month is $2.4m per annum, implying that he owns $24,000,000 worth of property.
Of course, cap rate doesn’t account for the cost of debt service. If we charitably assume an average interest rate of 4%, that would mean an effective ROI of 6% .. in other words, he would need to own $40,000,000 worth of real estate to net $2,4000,000 annually.
I don’t think Jay Cutler owns $40,000,000 worth of real estate. But hey, anything’s possible I suppose.

That is just his real estate and doesn't include his supplement companies and other business ventures.

Jay making about $2.4 million per year is hard to believe? lol

Did someone say all of his money was passive income from real estate holdings?

How much are you making a year stud?
Also do you have an openings? Asking for a friend.

Well, before I scaled everything down from running 6 businesses, probably about the same or a little more. I did not like all of the work, stress and problems that come with making a lot of $.
I was not implying that $2.4 million is not a lot, I was saying why would that be hard to believe for Jay to be making? I would not be surprised if it was higher.
What skillset can u bring to the table?

I’m not sure where the idea that he’s some business genius comes from, he’s had plenty of business ventures that never panned out. *IF* Jay was to be making that much, I think the bulk of it would be coming from his supplement company.
But again, he lied for years about steroids and PEDs .. why is everyone assuming that he’s telling the truth about this particular claim?
-

People are so money hungry if I could make 2.4 mil in one year I would head south and retire. The fuck people want to keep making money for?

Oh I didn’t read it that way, I thought bodybuilding was a reference to his consulting/prep business. But to your point I agree that he doesn’t have that much in real estate holdings.

I guarantee I can bring you at the very least the same type of productivity as Aaron or PJ, with the guarantee that I won’t steal the business out from under you or screw your over. My track record would prove me correct on this.
-

its what this country called the USA is all about, MONEY! its about all it has to offer, immigrants come here to make money, send it home and eventually return home.
who the fucks wants to retire, what does that even mean and who retires anymore? And what does an able bodied person do when they "retire" and now have no purpose in life. I will never retire, I might as well die.

Well said.
I talk to people all the time who talk about retirement as of it’s the greatest time in their lives and I ask what are they going to do, what will be their focus? They all say enjoy life….

I consider myself semi retired cause I only work about 6-7 months out of the year and I love it. I get to lift whenever I want do whatever I want and I love not working. I had a chance to retire around the age of 33 and I fucked it up. I don’t have that grind mentality just don’t need tons of money. Just me I guess but fuck working. Granted I have a construction company so my work is very physical. To me doing nothing allday is the best. I absolutely hate having to do anything or be anywhere.

My guess is he got money in agriculture companies, is having a good year because of inflation and ignoring how little he was making precovid.

Other than our supposed "political" differences, I would say you have plenty going for you, sir. ;) For one, as far as I know you can walk without crutches and don't fall down all time time. ;D So you've got that (and more, I am certain) going for you...Which in the words of then great Carl Spackler, "is nice".
And Rob, from what I have read of you here you are definitely enviable in an honorable way, sir. There is nothing wrong in being good enough to work hard and smart enough to have the time to do what you desire even if that is to just stay fit and do whatever else it is your desire to do. Trust me. Being healthy isn't easy, LOL!
Both of you have something worthy to contribute and not just here. In all ways and for always, be well gentlemen.

Nothing wrong with not wanting to do anything. The only thing that sometimes motivates me is the realization that when I die I won't even be able to go to the coffee shop. Something as simple as walking 2 feet? Forget about it! All your dreams and plans to do something are over at that point. And maybe forever. Maybe you just cease to exist as it was before you were born. That scary thought makes me want to accomplish more goals.

if you don't have a purpose in life, a reason to wake up, a job or some responsibility, then you might as well be dead.

Sounds like a bunch of tall stories.
Claims he spent 50k a year on food. Thats $137 a day!
In todays money he's claiming he spent $200 a day on food. I stopped watching after that.
Quite possible. Say you are eating out in nice places each night. That's $60-100 right there, and of course higher if its a nice steak and then a few glasses of wine. Then add in the foods you buy from grocery stores throughout the day, especially if you are eating quality foods.
-
Its a good income, but hardly a mind blowing amount for someone like him. Lets say that 2.4m is pre-tax. After deducting 30-40%, that leaves him with around 1.4m a year. Which is good money - certainly more than most people but nota surprise given his fame and business ventures.
I wonder if Labrada and Guaspari actually are making more than him with their ventures - I suspect they are.
-

100% sure he stated he dumped a significant portion of his real estate holdings a while back. like cbum he has been able to tap into the millennial/social media supplement business so his line appears to be doing well. kerri was an asset. the bar tender is a liability.
-
he wants to live in a compound lol. He already has a massive mansion.
-
The truth is Cutler makes $50k a week.
-

Yep, he could spend that easy.
-

In Vegas you need a gated compound to keep out the people who want to steal your stuff.
-
The problem with the 50k a year is he was talking about mid 90's - early 2000's when he was coming up. And he wasn't talking about eating out, he was talking about doing things like buying eggs by gross, and get 1/2 cows (i.e. buying 1/2 a cow from a farmer to get the prime cuts cheaper).
I remember the muscle mags ran stories asking pros their food budget back then, and most averaged $300-500 a week. Also you can watch those day/week of eating videos guys do now, and they're not getting close to $50k a year.
It was just a thrown out number to impress.

What happened to Dave the guy that films and edits his videos? On his videos Jay always interacts with him. It seems Jay fired his friend. All the most recent videos are boring with him talking to the camera instead of talking and interacting with Dave.
Regarding his money I think he makes a mint. Look at the gated community he lives in Vegas. In one Jay walking video a neighbor pulls out of his house in a Ferrari. He is currently house hunting for a bigger house. He always has top shelf new cars. Often three at a time. He is always rotating expensive luxury cars in his collection. He gets his cars detailed at his house by a crew. He has his hand in appearances, supplements, clothing and promoting contests. His social media account hits are huge generating money. He also has a podcast that I don't know if it took off yet. He also owns real estate.
-
why u quoting me?
Because I agree Jay is making 200k a month, with no problem.

Greed or fear of running out of it.

Your attitude "makes you broke"... hire more plumbers, increase advertising and you will soon be wealthy sitting in your office while everyone else plays with shit.
-
I think Jay is struggling with the fact that Bumstead has become the face of the fitness world. Iain and a few others have hinted what Chris is making and it’s staggering. He’s clearly jealous about being replaced.
Jay is constantly getting new cars, reminding everyone how good he was with the rehashed old pics on social media, the “I’m gonna get in the best shape ever at 50”, interviews about how much money he makes, I’m going house shopping vids (the model home in the new vid is open for anyone to see btw, it’s right by the airport, he just did the vid for attention), the ridiculous YoungLA endorsement, etc.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Well done.
A good friend of mine is a plumber, worked for a good company for years while I encouraged him to break off on his own. Ownership changed and the old perks were gone; long story short he ventured off on his own a few years ago is doing well
-
Jay has been at the right place at the right time all throughout his career/life, talk about luck. Not factoring the hard work he obviously puts in, but he was born in a middle/high income family, which helped him tremendously. Then in the early 2000’s made a name for himself, and was the “face” of bbing for years. Now the transition to social media/clothing lines/supplements, he’s on cloud nine at almost 50.
Lots of luck for him!! Hard work second, the right place at the right time
-
Really though compared to Jay, bumstead can’t hold his jock yet.
He’s far more popular than Cutler ever was. Especially with the non fitness/mainstream crowd. Jay is trying to hard. One is 28 and the other is 50…….and guess which one rides a skateboard to look cool?
And Bumsteads social media isnt propped up with fake numbers like Cutlers. And financially he’s the top dog too. It’s not close.

Gaspari? He lives a good life in a nice house in NJ but he's not even close to Cutler money. You have to think of who is generating money after their career is over. Is Ronnie generating money? Labrada has his supplements. Phil I have no clue if he is making money post retirement. A million in the bank is nice but is that real money? Someone mentioned a plumber. A plumber makes a million in earnings every 8 to 10 years. A million in the stock market with this rough economic time might make 40K a year with luck. Jay is making serious coin.

I’d say plumbers are making a million every 3-5 years. In my area they are making a killing for the last few years, always made good money but lately it’s crazy. I know some plumbers charging 500 fora simple faucet removal and install for 20 minutes.

x2
He is exaggerating and he even said "maybe".
He's just throwing shit out there.
I can see spending that much going out to eat.
There is a sushi place by my office that i go to once a week and drop $30 on lunch.
Also was buying an entire cow for a couple hundred bucks, which is complete bullshit.
Nobody is going to sell beef at less than $1 per pound.
I grew up on a farm down the street from a slaughterhouse and even in the 90's an entire cow was well over a grand fully butchered. IIRC it was around $1800.
-
It should be with plumbing, every house and building in the country has at least one bathroom. lol
It is if you can keep overhead low.
Tons of competition in plumbing.
Depends what you do though.
Fixing shit or installing plumbing in new buildings/houses?
Installing new builds for a production housing developer can make you rich, if you can keep up.
I know a guy who makes millions just doing stucco on new houses.

You might be right. A plumber in the gym I use to work in said he schedules his work to end at noon because he's making enough money. His house is worth over a million. Even good handy men by me are making sick money. Most have so much work they are turning down work.

Gaspari here is estimated to be worth 90m. I think at his peak he was at 400m (prior to his divorce and bankruptcy).

Gaspari was one of the first supplements and had a huge following in sales, not sure how he’s doing now

Besides the leased cars in past, Ronnie lives a pretty modest lifestyle, same house before winning the O
Phil seems to have followed Cutler in how to manage businesses and money
