“They’re all gonna die.”

Mt Everest stuff is pretty interesting but with success rate so high I assume the next step is speed ascent/descent. That’s generally where things go after a ‘first time’ happens.
-
Lots of bodies frozen stiff up there that have been there for many years.
Fuck the dumb stuff!!

Doing it without supplemental oxygen is still the gold standard. Very very few have done it.

They could always eat the dead bodies in an emergency - that's eco-friendly, right?

But how would you cook them?
Eating raw meat is not healthy.

My uncle paid a handsome sum to climb some infamous mountain.
Spent three days with ferocious diarrhea, having to shit every several minutes in plain view of his climbing companions (an assortment of male and female strangers).
He also fought to breathe the entire time, froze his ass off and quite simply wanted to die.
Experience of a lifetime. ::)

The problem is they are all at base camp and have paid guides to summit them so when the weather clears they all try to go at once which creates a huge line and puts them at altitude longer than they should be making it much more dangerous. My brother is an avid ice climber and has summited Denali many times by various routes as well as several other mountains he takes a trip every year but they go in small groups. This is a pic from his last trip notice no lines and yea he does not use oxygen. Looks like a nightmare to me I like to snowboard so I have some idea of what climbing deep snow and ice at altitude can be like and it’s horrific I will stick to the chairlift.

Whenever I remind him, he essentially begs me to not bring it up.
