I’m no squatter by any means but it looked like the grind was him doing a good morning. Why did he fold himself in half so much, wouldn’t it be easier to stay more straight?

Is there some benefit to training this way to just get the bar up for powerlifting? Or this is just kids being stupid on instagram?

Or is this bizzarro Strict Squat Nation training?

yep, moving weight by attempting to take all muscle use out of the equasion.

That was a 3 white light squat as far as powerlifting is concerned.

The weight folded  him, and he worked thru it... If he only did 5 sets of leg curls (20) would have gone easier..

If the bar never dips downward, its good (as you know of course). Pass or no pass, the kid can work thru it...

Back in the day nobody could touch the weight when you walked it back in the rack.....as long as you break paralell it`s a good rep.

I`ve been to meets where a squat looked like a complete Good Morning exercise but it still passed as nobody touched the weight and he walked it back into the rack under his own power.
