Thank god because a lot of what is coming out today is really shitty. Movie, plot, actors, etc....

So the writer's strike, going on two months, wants to stop all AI from helping to create anything.
Same with the actors union, who plan or may go on strike at the end of July. One of their demands is 'no' AI in the movies. The union realizes they will lose revenue if AI is in the picture, no more paying anyone for anything they have done at any time. Residuals will go down quick
SAG-AFTRA is inching closer to joining the WGA in a strike against studios by the day – while it looked like negotiations were progressing in the last few days, a letter sent to the union yesterday and signed by countless key players, including Glenn Close, Jennifer Lawrence, Mark Ruffalo, and Meryl Streep seems to indicate that there is one key factor driving them forward. The sticking point for those losses this time around, it seems, all comes back to AI. The letter warned of many points that they felt that SAG-AFTRA, headed by union president Fran Drescher, was too quick to compromise on, including streaming residuals, self-taped auditions, and minimum pay due to inflation – but AI use was the complaint that took up the most space.

Soon Hollyweird will be able to put Sean Connery back into new Bond films and pay his estate a fee to do so. AI will do this. Actors and actresses (the latter term is rarely used now) will be out of work. Everything will be digitized.
It is not what I would want but perhaps it will not come to pass. Except for Connery and Lois Maxwell and...Well you get it. I prefer Bond to be Bond not some fucking product of divershitty.

Hopefully there will be a non-woke version

Hopefully there will be a non-woke version
I realized not long ago that hollywood has no reason to exist, Americans just shouldn't be making movies anymore.
Koreans know how to make good shit, germans, spainish and brazillians know how to make good tv shows.
Hollywood needs to get more woke not less, so hopefully it disappears.
Let them ban AI, Unions have ruined the film industry, if a small union free studio can make a film for 1/10th the cost, we'll be watching hollywood collapse.

It's inevitable that AI will make movies and hamburgers.

It’s clearly in secular decline. No one gives a shit about old tired celebrities and there haven’t been any new ones to replace them.
LA used to be viewed as a cool hip place. Now it’s a homeless, drug addled, crime infested shithole.

Do any of youse GetBiggers happen to watch movies made in India?
If not .... I'd recommend that you give a couple a try.
I recommend WAR and also one of the three (3) DHOOM features .... The best of which is the young kid in the father's circus movie.
The other two are OK but not as good.
And if you dislike elaborate dance scenes interspersed with phenomenal 'blood-bath' or chase scenes .... avoid India movies at all costs!
PS .... The latest Indy Jones was a stinker!

Koreans do make great movies. I'll be watching Moebius again soon.

Hollywood actors are scared.
The entire industry is going to reboot.
There is no stopping it.

I can't fucking wait, the thing that blows my mind is how hollywood doesn't allow certain movies to get made and when they do it's a piss poor job.
Just imagine a proper movie about Lou Ferringo. Guy can't communicate but I imagine he lived a preetty crazy life back in the 70s. He was the incredible hulk when being tv was a huge deal, and it was before Arnold was even known by people who watch tvs and movies.

Speaking about the making of motion pictures .... I believe that there is or will be a Hollywood script-writer's strike which will have an adverse effect on the U.S. motion picture business which may be beneficial for then motion picture business in foreign countries .... such as India, Korea, and possibly even Russia.
And if you are really interested in this motion picture business stuff .... Mark Wahlberg has moved from Los Angeles and now resides in Las Vegas with rumors of possible plans to build a studio business here in town.
So it may be a reality that Hollywood is slowly fading away due to high production costs making it necessary to produce films in Louisiana(?) or Canada where tax credits offset expenses.
Is it possible that Las Vegas, Nv. may be next?
I think that Walhberg may be giving it a try!
By the way, take a look at the Russian made flicker named T-34 on IMDB. com. Well worth the time spent.

They've been making films in other states and Canada for many years.
Nothing new there.

Once the tech is cheap enough for Indie films it will really be trouble for Hollywood.

So in say 20 years you get home from work and you say "Alexa, I want to watch a movie like Terminator 2, but with the cast of Rocky 3. Make it 2 hours long and give it a twist ending.
AI, which by now knows your taste in things creates a movie you'll enjoy and all you're billed for the processing power it used up.
Some people will still prefer the real thing. There will just be less of it and hopefully it will be of higher quality.

Alexa:
I want to watch Terminator 2 with the Cast of Shawshank Redemption in a Western Scenery with an Ending similar to The Sixth Sense

This.
YouTube has slowly killed off television.
You have people creating content that wouldn’t have been green lit in the past, that have built a following that remains faithful to their content.

70s and 80s were the best times to be in a rockband (before Internet and napster)

I can't fucking wait, the thing that blows my mind is how hollywood doesn't allow certain movies to get made and when they do it's a piss poor job.
Just imagine a proper movie about Lou Ferringo having cocaine-fuelled experiences with these two enthusiastic supporters of male physical culture.
Is that a candelabra in your pocket? Oh wait, it's in mine.
-
Koreans have the zombie genre down tight.

Agree.
We’ll see backyard productions pop up which are ground breaking.
I’m thinking how Blaire Witch disrupted the way movies were thought could be filmed.

I'm looking forward to it. Hollywood produces mostly woke crap right now. Soon the competition will bury them.

We'll have to wait and see how good it really gets. I have been playing with various AI technologies recently. One involves cloning of voices and then replacing a singer's voice with another. I've also dabbled in Deepfake and now AI Porn (lol!) generation. It seems promising, but the stuff is still very limited in scope and not user friendly. You need to be tech-oriented to get familiar with it.
A Robert de Niro / Taxi / Dear Hunter type of performance will not be equaled by AI anytime soon. So if the actor is not lazy and has talent he/she should not worry about being out of work,

In 10 years, the hot stars will just start on youtube and go viral. Then they will sell the rights to use their faces to the movie industry and they can just collect royalties.
-
I can’t wait for the day these obnoxious, entitled, rich beyond belief actors get put in their place. They know the end of this gravy train is coming to an end. This is their last chance, large scale cash grab to try and make sure the checks will keep coming in.

Why would the studios use the actor's likeness when they can just create characters from scratch and not have to pay royalties?
