That is what a judge ordered the Proud Boys members to pay for their “hateful and overtly racist” (and general dumbassery douchebaggery).
Tarrio is going to have to go back to selling BLM and Anti-Trump tshirts again it seems. I don’t think his paycheck for being a federal snitch is going to cover that sum.
Good times!

Can you cite exactly what these guys said that was hateful or racist? I don't follow fringe groups like you do, have no idea what they promote.

Or you could Google it. Ever thought of that?

How do they arrive at $1mill for tearing down a few zipties and a cardboard sign?

Why not ask the judge?

I would, except I don't associate with liberal pieces of shit in real life. Looks like it was a civil case and a bleeding heart liberal judge went for the "church" based off of their racist history. We get it now. :) I suspect they'll appeal.

Make sure you buy more BLM and Anti-Trump shirts from Tarrio to help him out.

He can't, dude doesn't keep up with anything. If he hears something negative he immediately googles and posts the first thing that pop's up. Tarrio is "racist' he a Black/Cuban racist. So says a DC court.

Funny that my post - unlike yours - contains facts that you can't seem to refute. Why is that? Besides you are just too stupid and can't accept reality?

They were asked to pay damages to their property and replacement of the sign they tore down and refused. They also didn't even bother showing up for court so it was a default judgement. That's why its a million dollars. If they had showed up, it would have been different but they should not have broken into the church and vandalized the place to begin with

Sounds like you know about about the case. Why did they break into the church? Was it just a random act of violence? What was their goal?

The church had a BLM flag flying from it. That's really it. They trashed the church and another one as well. They are suing the group too. Proud Boys are idiots.

According to this all they damaged was the BLM sign.
https://www.cnn.com/2023/07/01/politics/proud-boys-fined-ame-church-destruction/index.html
According to Kravitz’s order, on December 12, 2020, several people in Proud Boys regalia “leaped over Metropolitan AME’s fence, entered the church’s property, and went directly to the Black Lives Matter sign. They then broke the zip ties that held the sign in place, tore down the sign, threw it to the ground, and stomped on it while loudly celebrating. Many others then jumped over the fence onto the church’s property and joined in the celebration of the sign’s destruction.”

I'm pretty sure it isn't the damage as much as the attitude, thought process, and complete disregard for showing up in court that factored into the damages amount.

Agreed. The attitude displayed by the Proud Boys as they stepped on the BLM sign deserved a heavy fine.
If they had maintained a solemn and respectful countenance while stomping the sign then the fine would have been much less, maybe $100.

No, they destroyed more than that and they vandalized another church. Not sure why you're defending them for. How would you like it if someone came on your property and fucked with your shit.
In any event, they should have replaced the sign which is what they asked for , they refused, they sued, Proud Boys didn't bother to show up for court.....End result: Default judgement

I guess they will remember that next time.

Vince, I have always said the destruction of property is not a protest but a riot, regardless of race, but reading the original cnn article it clearly states that 2 blm signs at 2 churches were burnt and destroyed, nothing about any sort of property damage. Do you have links to any articles about this event?

Amazing how one group skates free while the fbi spends countless hours and tax dollars to persecute another group for far smaller crimes.

It was on the churches website...prob in the court documents because they are suing the Proud Boys for other stuff. Doesn't matter because the Proud Boys fucked up.
If you're talking about Antifa and BLM, a lot of them are serving some long prison sentences for destroying property and setting fire to police cars . A few in BLM are going to prison for money laundering. But none of them went to trial for sedition which is fucking serious. They used to hang people back in the day for stuff like that.
-
Vince,
If some kids bash in my $5 mailbox I want $1 miliion damages.

I wonder why we didn't see every antifa/blm conviction on tv 24/7 ???
I don't support the destruction of private or government property to push a political ideology.

The 1 million is a default judgment....they could have paid for the damage as they asked to do first...and then thry couldnt show up for court. Fuck them

That's awfully harsh, Vince

Couldn't give two shits about the Proud Boys.
And I understand Vince G's reasoning behind the million.
However, it is hilarious that they get hit with a million for destroying some signs, while the group on the signs skates while their founders buy 6 million dollar houses in plain sight. Biggest grift ever.
