Wouldn't that be manslaughter?

The death penalty is never "too good" for such beings.

Well I would just wait 10 years and get him when he gets out. Fine by me. Hell I’d try to get him to get no time.

Manslaughter is generally considered 3rd degree murder but the actual charge varies by state.
10 years is on the lower end of sentencing but its not unheard of. Vehicular manslaughter usually only means big prison sentences when the driver is intoxicated. Otherwise it’ll vary from 1-10 years per count based on circumstances.
Assuming the guy had a clean record and a decent lawyer, they probably offered a favorable sentence in exchange for a guilty plea. 10 years isn’t nothing, that kids life is fucked regardless.

You think accidentally running someone over deserves the death penalty?

Wether and accident or not you took a life and the punishment should be equal in my eyes.

Was he "accidentally" drunk or high? Was he also accidentally speeding and driving in a reckless manner on public roadways? Given the lenient sentence from a notoriously lax cucked official I am inclined to think it was no mere accident.

In the 70's he probably would have gotten 6 weeks in jail.
