Also a good idea haha although you would lose 50% rom standing up is a better idea for me so I will do it that way the contraction feels crazy.

I actually remember seeing a similar exercise like this in the bent over row position but using one arm & a dumbbell, pulling the straight arm back like in the video.
Was apparently for lats.

Its more of a lat and teres exercise. It was borrowed from the Lock-3 exercise. Scapular depression is important during this. Many will shrug to assist the lift. The posterior part of the deltoid are only assisters (nor primary) in extension of the arm and external rotation of the arm. So, doing the scaption exercise but posterior would hit the back of the shoulder more in my opinion.
