Exactly why I built a compound. I barely go anywhere, just walk around the estate. Putting in a 12M pool at the moment :D
Remember the 15 minute city everyone says can’t happen. Trials begin in Q4 2023 and we are nearly there.
I wouldn’t fret too much about being ‘locked down’ as the incoming inflation will fuck you so hard you won’t be able to afford it anyway and behaviour will change to not wanting to leave the house due to the cost.
It’s also why it is utterly spastic to believe property is going to crash when we are about to be locked down in the property we live in. Massive rush on property lies ahead as it becomes all about quality of life at home.

My economic stuff is based on US but we follow anyway. FWIW For Australia I have rates hold, maybe 1-2 hikes over 2yrs but no cuts, then up to 9% in early 2026. The first inflationary wave completes in 2025 and we will have our first recession 2026.
Melbourne will have the first trial of a ‘20 minute city’ in Q4 this year. We get a ‘lockdown lite’ version first which doesn’t really restrict. As inflation reduces consumption the govt will introduce more ‘20min city restrictions’ which we mostly won’t feel because inflation will change behaviour anyway.

Although the Nazis retained some of the legal language of a capitalist society : Private ownership of the means of production was allowed, businesses and industries were not nationalized as in communist countries etc., the conception of Nazis being "capitalists" is a false narrative that survives even today.

According to writer Ludwig Von Mises, there was a "socialism of the German pattern" and a "socialism of the Russian pattern."
The former, seemingly and nominally, maintained private ownership of the means of production, entrepreneurship, and market exchange (in appearence, at least). What I can see happening when cars are predominantly electric is that the government will switch off the charging stations and then the public can’t go anywhere.

During covid lockdown i kepted my normal living. Left the house, walk a few block to my girlfriend house. Later night returned home. Faced a few crackheads at night, nothing i couldn't handle.
