Smokes Arnold (went up against 20 people, not 3).
A bit better than Ronnie as once he won, he didnt lose it, and no gut...

from 83 to 84 he made huge gains and then he looked more refined in 85

Looks amazing, big and conditioned with excellent music choice and posing.

No shitty rap "music", no stupid facial expressions or the ridiculous cupping the hand to the ear to elicit a mild response from an unimpressed crowd like we see today.

Great physique, one of the best ever.

Would get waxed standing next to 93 Yates or prime Coleman though.

Not so sure about 'waxed' plus the game changed right when he retired, Slin, etc... Different era I suppose took over when Yates started his reign...

I look at it this way - Yates beat him in 91 in the muscularity round and was close overall.  93 Yates would wax 91 Yates, so I assumed his combo of size/condition would beat Haney handily.

Ronnie the same.  His arms/quads/condition would overpower.

Given that, I still think Haney is one of the best ever, and had one of the coolest builds.  His deficiencies (arm size, quad) would just exposed by the mass guys.

The GOAT for sure. When you take everything into consideration,  Lee Haney is the greatest bodybuilder of all time. Better than Ronnie, Dorian, Flex, Phil, Arnold....All of them. Class personified.

the routine he did to the rocky overture was amazing

his back was something else

Thinking he was only 25 at the time! He appeared older in his youth, but now he looks excellent for his age. Early retirement likely benefited his health.
