Whether its destruction of looks, physique, health, or even life, do any of you feel vindicated when this happens? Being a Getbigger, which means I’m not fully right in the head, I’m guilty of this. Or perhaps I’m not guilty of anything and simply feel this way by people who are so arrogant that they believe they can beat Mother Nature and the Grim Reaper indefinitely.
We all know the examples of this. Through the years we read or hear, “I get my blood work done,” as if checking one’s blood is as good as stopping, and “after next show, I’m coming off and getting on TRT,” which means never coming off and not doing TRT.
I actually don’t wish harm on others but there is something about a man continuing to push his luck with poor decisions, while knowing the consequences of them, that makes one think, “serves you right”.

Hahaha not so much bodybuilders but famous rich people I do enjoy when they get fucked. Prob just me being jealous.
-
It's human nature to find joy in another's misfortune.
-
I just marvel how I once aspired to become one of them.
It all seems so ridiculous.
I thought tough training and clean living was the path to O glory.
Hahaha

We were all naive in our youth.

I like that too. I think many celebrities are perverts and scumbags who deserve comeuppances.

I wanted to also.

Yes, but I don’t like misfortune happening to good people.
-
Opposite ..... when I see an old bodybuilder looking good I'm relieved! (It can be done I think!)

Yes, but think about what if that happens to you?! Karma has a way of doing that. Best not to revel in other's misfortune. I know it is tempting. I'm guilty of that also! But then I put myself in that situation. I remember in high school I got into a lot of fights. A crowd would gather and jeer and the two of us fighting would be in the trenches getting it done. Then one day my buddy ended up on the receiving end with people cheering and jeering while his ass was on the line in a fight. He told me afterward, that now he knew how I felt.

I get no sigmundfreud from bodybuilder's self-destruction. They're powerless slaves to timed, measured, and weighed meals confined to tupperware containers, and receptor-extinguishing pharmaceutical regimens.

Nah
I felt sorry for Greg Plitt, and sorry for Column Von Mongrel
Not sorry for Bradley Martin when he fights an MMA fighter tho
I'm certain George Farrah is happy that King Kamali lost his right arm though, since Tamali pushed Farrah around on stage

Having BB genetics would have just been terrible for me.
Not having that meant I needed to be a businessman, which is probably most of these guys longterm dreams any way.
Whether I want them to fail usually depends on how they lived their life.
For example these athletes telling people it’s cool to get injected I hope they get rocked on the football field.

WTF??? I love seeing someone succeed. Why would you find joy in other people suffering?

I lived the BBing lifestyle for over 15 years.
My entire life revolved around working out, eating and injecting PED's.
I got big and strong but soon realized that it's all temporary and i was never going to get anything back from it.
I don't wish ill will on many people but i find the current state of BBing hilariously stupid.
They make it way more difficult than it needs to be, just to get sympathy and attention. They are not the iron warriors of decades passed.
The drug abuse, injecting oil into their muscle bellies and outright lying 100% about what it takes to be their size makes me glad when they get ill or have a health scare.
It's not like a Motocross rider who wipes out and snaps his leg in half, everyone knows the risk of jumping a dirt bike 120+ feet; these guys are a different breed living in a house of cards that will fall one day.
All of these guys lie their ass off to sell useless supplements and workout routines to attract young impressionable men to believe the lies. And they get rich off snake oil and stupid workout routines that mean fuck all for the average person. Weighing their chicken and rice, oh brother.
So, in a way when i watch these guys horrendous "day in the life of" videos, i laugh my fucking ass off because i know they are miserable by choice and will die by 50. They mask their insecurities in PED's and rec drugs. Have no life and fry their organs over a plastic trophy.
I mean just look at the top 10 Mr O contestants' videos online, there are only 1 or 2 that can form a complete sentence.

I saw a tourist get mauled by a Buffalo in Yellowstone. He had it coming and I thought it was hilarious.

Thanks for the post.
I actually felt depressed after watching the few day-of-eating videos.

I feel sad for their stupidity, specially when they ignore warning signs of early demise. Why did they wasted their life that way.
-
Honestly, no. Hearing about their health problems only reminds me of my mortality.
I get a kick out of them portraying themselves as tough guys or rockstars, when in reality the general public sees them as steroid addled freaks.

Schadenfreude Of Peace :D

Depends - Ronnie is a bit slow but seems like a nice enough guy, so I feel something
But I laugh my ass off over and over again at the King of Asymmetry... both at the ridiculous waste of all that money and his decrepit limbs

WHEN you see wheeler its truly humbling for him in a physical sense he had an incredible physique for a small part of his life,he had cars and that house lived like a king and acted like it based on his 'body'shallow it is but he made money and people paid to see it ect...end of the day for him he got ill and lost the temporary 'build'but lost greater thing his health which he probably regrets.jay cutler seemed to do it right...

Everyone is going to die and just because you are not a drug abusing mass monster it does not mean your healthy. The effect of the personality on the bodies health cannot be underestimated. Many physical diseases manifest from underlying emotional problems. Not the only factor of course but better to not project as Freud would say and deal with ones own death fear.
-
The body's endocrine system is delicate..
It can manage only so much abuse.
Mess with it at your own peril.

you sound like a teenage girl, how much attention do you pay to bodybuilders? who, more importantly why do you, give a shit

I will not answer your questions because you have not addressed my questions in the past.

Forced to agree via personal observation. I'm not a spiritual fella like your good self, but like a lot of us just living life I have been close enough to illness and death over the years to see with my own eyes people with similar variations in the big C for example come out with wildly different endings that you could almost link to attitude (and support of course) - maybe some people are just more ready for the end than others...

Did you see the latest Cutler video where he talks about cutting back his training and doing something else? Makes me wonder if he is having trouble with his retirement gear routine? I really like his videos because he eats, sleeps and breathes bodybuilding. I don't know if it's simple burn out and just he needs a break from training?

Damn, imagine being so vain like flex in the picture. Look at me, pathetic. You can have the cars, houses, money everything, but is it really so hard to be a decent human being and not flex your sh1t. We did that when we were kids lol. Look at my new bike

Only with Dallas McCarver and mostly because he went on various rants at people saying he was a professional, he knows what he is doing when people dared to tell him to slow down and chill as he wasn't looking healthy.

Those were good threads on MD. That and the Jay Cutler one. Full of trolls, people taking stuff too seriously and the schomes. Dallas and his meltdown was pretty wild
The funniest post I remember though was one guy begging Mad Max for a Jay Cutler update. Said he had his girlfriend upstairs waiting for him to bang her, but he needed a Jay Cutler update post to fire him up and get him ready. He didn't even realise he was outing himself.

Typical schome behavior!

"bhank" by any chance?

Why limit this to bodybuilders?
Why not take pleasure in anyone's bad luck?

I will admit to taking a little pleasure in a fellow PT in the gym failing on rep 4 with 150 on squats like he did last week. Only someone else was spotting him this time. Terrible I know.

I always chuckle at this one. It's like when someone's favorite athlete gets injured and they hear they are getting an MRI and they are like "Oh thank goodness" like it's some sort of therapy/cure.

Yup. “Getting blood work,” doesn’t do shit! It just means some roid head went to a doctor and probably ignored his advice to come off.

Yes I usually get sauerkraute after such news but feel bad about it sometimes later. :-[

Cool, someone else asked, why I only get sauerkraut for bodybuilders, and only plain hot dogs for others? Why not get sauerkraut for other unlucky people? Well, that's because the people I speak of in this thread didn't have bad luck. They brought on disaster to themselves and ignored the risks involved in taking huge amounts of drugs year after year and didn't stop, even in cases in which they had children, because being "the big guy" was more important. So I'm gonna enjoy my sauerkraut.
