Not sure what happened there? Shouldn’t he have to hold the credit card spacer when closed? He put the credit card thing in before he closed it the width way, wtf does that prove? Also are you allowed to close it with two hands making it easier to grasp? Doesn’t seem legal. I know nothing of the rules so just asking. I know I Couldn’t do it just seems weird how he did that.

Is this one of Larry's new endeavors?

He busted everything in his body, only his hands work now haha.

You have to start with the gripper in a minimum open position:  the width of a credit card.

Right. People used to close it with both hands, then let go with one, then open it a tiny bit and close it again w/ one  hand.
The CC is only to start from a minimum opening...

Dudes legit...

I have the number #1 Ironmind gripper. Decades ago I could close it five times and now I can't do it once. These things are very hard on your hands. You can damage your hands using grippers especially with low reps and high resistance.  I prefer high reps with something like an adjustable Ivanko gripper.

Yes, you have to be careful and not overdo it.

You need to train your grip in various ways.

Pinching, crushing, wrist, holds.

Every workout do one of them.

I have ironmind gripper up to number 3. I couldn't get much stronger at all, is that common? The 3 is still something I doubt I would ever achieve. But closing number 4 is very impressive to me. Seems you could hurt you own hands being that strong. I worked up to like 8 reps with the number 2. Really should have kept training because that shit is impressive to a small number of people like myself lol. They have the rolling thunder and thick bars and something else at the gym. I left my grippers at the gym and some bitch stole a couple. It should be a basic moral thing, you don't steal from a gym especially.

I had two lifting belts stolen over the years.  F*ckers.

Being very strong with grippers is just one aspect of grip strength.

8 reps with a COC 2 is very good.

The warm-ups all looked like two-handed nonsense but the credit card thing seemed legit (close it with two, then open it to a credit card width and put the card there yourself, forcing you to use just one hand to close it).

I think they do that to standardize the distance since it's hard to manufacture these things to be exactly the same and a millimeter or two on distances this short is a big difference in strength.

I've closed a CoC 2 a few times.

You have to seriously train for it and have big hands.

Why did Larry take his shirt of at the end?

He's one weird and awkward dude, obviously not very smart.

Like someone else mentioned it helps if you have big hands because it helps with leverage because you can really get a better purchase on the gripper. Smaller hands are applying force further down the fingers.

Dude, you have to move on from Brian WH Hankins.  It's not a healthy obsession.
