Title: Best businessman pro? (besides Chic )
Post by: HowieW on April 30, 2006, 01:17:35 AM
Out of the current crop of pros , gotta be Jay Cutler. The man is a pros -pro and runs his pro career like a well oiled machine. I respect him MORE then most because of how he acts along with his incredible physique

Jeremy Freeman....he has a contract with muscle tech....he doesnt compete at all.  Then he does one bench press contest doing only 1/4 reps and is announced the winner!

Ummm how about Big Ron?  He's doing pretty well.  He bought a house and car for his mommy and is living it up.  I'm not so sure about Chic, doesn't he live in a studio apartment and wear cheap, shiny ,second hand shirts?  Cutler's definately taking care of business.   Lee Labrada's now retired but his supplement company is huge.  He's doing very well and looks about half his age.  Gaspari's probably doing ok but I have to agree that Titus is the smartest pro.  Crystal meth dreams and visions of crack rock dancing in his head.  Ah yes life is good.

Gaspari is making more money than Lee, not even close.  From what I've been told, cutler has spread into other ventures investment wise (property, etc).  In his area that was likely a wise move.  Ronnie just lucked up into a company spending way more money than they should have.  Outside of that contract however, ronnie does seem to have his shit together.  When going to a show there is always a layout of things to buy.  I imagine someone within his crew is handling the majority of it.

Art Atwood hasn't done bad, considering he isn't a top 1-3 guy.  Think about how many people are doing well for themselves that are outside of the top 5, not many.  Most of the pro's can't hold onto money.  The lifestyle of bb'ing leads to other vices that draw cash.  I've been involved in a few contracts with pro's.  Within months they are having to ask for advances.  Such a shame.

Surprised no one brought this up... Lee Labrada is richer then all the current pro's combined, probably several times over. The amount of money he's made with Labrada nutrition is unreal.

Pete Grymkowski.

Yes, best answer, since he is not working, multimillionaire, living in Hawaii.

I think he wins.

sucks that for a billion dollar business (supplements/clothes/training material/industry) so few people are making money.

That's because his products are damn good. His bars are actually being sold in 7-11's around here because so many people like them.

I agree completely, I'm just surprised that no one brought him up.. my friend (who's runs a Bally's) was telling me that Labrada just signed some crazy distribution deal for Labrada nutrition and that he literally doubled his revenue. I personally love his stuff and have 3 boxes of lean body meal replacements at home, not to mention about 5 boxes of bars.
