One of our assistant coaches in high school had a collection  of film/videos of players from the old AFL
Remember seeing defensive players actually bounce off of Gilchrist a few times. An outrageous down hill running machine, which some players didn't really want to try and stop him.

I had three relatives who played in the NFL at one time, though not doing the Gilchrist era,  and could confirm all those stories and accomplishments of Gilchrist heard from older players. .   .
