Not how the system works!

According to the shooter’s family attorney, the officer who killed him “failed to take any steps to deescalate the situation”.

What a joke.

The shooter was a 33 y/o man named Ali Naji who stole the gun earlier that day in Dearborn, Michigan then tried to use it an hour later against cops. Also, people need to remember that bullets aren’t always magical people stoppers.

What type of training do you think these cops have? That is probably the only time that officer will ever be involved with firing a gun at another person. That was all adrenaline.

And this is exactly why they should be training at least on a weekly basis so they can make more rational decisions. But there could have been other reasons why he felt the need to dump that we couldn't see. I seriously doubt all of his shots were on target. Bottomline, if he's still moving the cops is still shooting...

I don't KNOW why he did... but I would like to participate in the game.

A few possibilities

1. Since only about 25% of cops ever fire their guns in the line of duty, this was overwhelming his neurological abilities and he fired until he was empty because well, damn.. some guy with a gun is in the station...
2. He considered that he was in an office with a separation between himself and the bad guy with the gun so just running up with the bad guy at gun point and kicking away the gun and putting him in cuffs to end the threat was not an option, he decided that insuring death was the only option.

I got no issue with either reason.
