I would say in my humble opinion that weight lifters or powerlifters have much stronger tendon strength than Bodybuilders. I think itīs the power training of lower reps & heavy poundages which is also possible in the 5x5 routines.
Reg Park was big on 5x5 for power & strength.

Didn`t watch the video but I would do heavy partial reps in a safety cage.
