Ah yes. True. Lying is a thing.

:-\Winston by far causes the most of these liver toxicities...I read about it numerous times....Even personally I know a guy who got jaundiced from Winny and beer.

Winstrol always made me nauseous. Had to stop taking it after a few weeks.

People lie to Doctors all the time. It probably wasn't his first cycle and he probably didn't mention other stuff he might have taken like SARMs or fatburners or even OTC supps that can cause issues if the dosage is high enough.

Also, isn't it complicated by things like insurance? Wouldn't they refuse to pay for the various therapies if it was deemed to be self-inflicted? Genuine question

We would need our American getbiggers input on this. Although I have heard how some NHS doctors can be pissy towards juicers here.
This particular case seems to have taken place in Abu Dhabi, Pakistan.

Oops! Forgot I was talking to a fellow limey - apologies! And yes of course you get guilted for self-inflicted stuff, but you still get patched up for free*
Imagine if you had to pay for each dialysis session, for example - I shudder to think what that might actually cost :o
*(joswift about to point out I'm a stupid twat for not mentioning taxes in 3..2..1.. ;D)

Life insurance maybe. health insurance , no. After all they deal with the aftermath of alcoholism, rec drugs, obesity, sendentary folks, etc on a daily basis

Person had something wrong with them to begin with. To think that this is common is pure stupidity.

Weren’t Middle East guys doing low dose test 125-250/wk and then belting 1g/wk of Tren?
-
Some folks are just predestined to be sensitive to shit. Why does a 30 yo who never smoked die of lung cancer yet another person lives to 90 smoking a pack a day. Life, it’s a crap shoot

I have to think there was something else on board. Maybe alcohol? Maybe alcohol and pain meds? Or like Bostin Lloyd a peptide and miscalculated the dose?
It's highly unlikely that he'd destroy his kidneys after one cycle. And who the fuck knows what his source was. Bathtub brew? He may not have any idea what he was taking.

Dudes be drinking a case of beer a night chasing it with 6 shots of yager and then complaining 25mg of dbol fried their insides

Brutal. Winny, by far, was my favourite steroid and my first introduction to steroids. I abused that thing and also partied hard (you know what it's like when you're young dumb and full of cum.)

I never used liquid winny. Supposed to hurt a helluva lot more than usual, right?
Must have been all word of mouth when you first started on them, Wes - as the internet wasn't as big in terms of steroid info and communities, etc. Plenty of bbs/usenet systems talking about software/programming as it was mainly computer guys online but when it came to training: sweet nothing, right?

True. I'm surprised they did this publication based on just what this guy initially said. Maybe he was truthful about some of it but not the partying/drugs/etc?

They couldn’t be more happy to write up anything against steroids. Hell my primary told me many years ago to not take testosterone as it’s so bad, then prescribes me testosterone this year. All morons.

Until this year ;D

If you read the study, the kidney injury is secondary to the steroid-induced liver injury so it’s possible this guy could be telling the truth with regards to dosages .. if he drinks and takes Tylenol already, even a short course of oral steroids can be enough to cause the liver injury described here—and the acute kidney injury follows. This isn’t necessarily the result of chronic usage.
His kidney function recovers sufficiently within two months to stop dialysis and that’s also when follow-ups stop so there’s no information as to further recovery but given his younger age and lack of comorbidities, complete or near-complete recovery of his renal function seems probable.
-
More than likely he had a predisposed genetic condition like they always do.
Nobody tells the truth about the cycles/gear they take.......just look at Hanky for proof of this fact.
